Welcome to TERM 2 WEEK 10 End of Term - As we kick off into the final week of the term, it is a great time to take a moment to reflect on how fortunate we all are to be part of the Chatty School community. I feel very privileged to be part of such an active and supportive community, where the students have, week in week out, showcased the values of our school through their hard work and effort in the classroom, on the sporting field and in their social interactions. It has been a term jam packed with new experiences and opportunities. On the sporting field we have competed against other schools in cross country, cricket, soccer and netball, and on a school level we enjoyed the fantastic gymnastic program with Malika. In the classroom we have had choir, dance, music, VR, Naplan, the Spelling Bee, Multilit, Cane Toad presentation and chickens! We enjoyed the fabulous MHS production , Shrek the musical; continued our commitment to School Banking and Book Club, both which raise funds and resources for our school; Footy Colours Day; and the P&C provided us with a fabulous movie and pizza night as well as a lovely Mother’s Day stall. Not to mention one of my personal favourites, canteen! But it’s still not over yet. This week we have NAIDOC week activities at Maclean High for the Year 5 students, the whole school Moon Show and fingers crossed, our Athletics Carnival. So many of the above listed activities have only been possible through the commitment and support from our whole school community, including our staff, parents and carers. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all, not only for the effort that you put into our school, but also the amazingly kind, caring, and cheerful way in which you do it. Chatty School is truly an awesome community to be part of. Reports and Parent Teacher Interviews - Reports were successfully handed out on Thursday last week and having read them all, I am sure there are many, many, proud parents and carers out there. Parent teacher interviews are also well on the way, and whilst these are a great opportunity to discuss with your child’s/children’s teacher any concerns you have, also remember that here at Chatty we have an open door policy and that all staff are available for a chat at any time throughout the term. Athletics Carnival - After a couple of days (and nights) of good weather, the grounds are finally starting to dry out and at this stage we are looking good for our Athletics Carnival on Friday. However, Mrs Shannon has informed me that more rain is predicted for later in the week, so we will have to just take each day as it comes. Welcome to TERM 2 WEEK 10

End of Term - As we kick off into the final week of the term, it is a great time to

take a moment to reflect on how fortunate we all are to be part of the Chatty School

community. I feel very privileged to be part of such an active and supportive

community, where the students have, week in week out, showcased the values of our

school through their hard work and effort in the classroom, on the sporting field and in

their social interactions.

It has been a term jam packed with new experiences and opportunities. On the

sporting field we have competed against other schools in cross country, cricket, soccer

and netball, and on a school level we enjoyed the fantastic gymnastic program with

Malika. In the classroom we have had choir, dance, music, VR, Naplan, the Spelling Bee,

Multilit, Cane Toad presentation and chickens! We enjoyed the fabulous MHS

production , Shrek the musical; continued our commitment to School Banking and Book

Club, both which raise funds and resources for our school; Footy Colours Day; and the

P&C provided us with a fabulous movie and pizza night as well as a lovely Mother’s Day

stall. Not to mention one of my personal favourites, canteen! But it’s still not over yet.

This week we have NAIDOC week activities at Maclean High for the Year 5 students, the

whole school Moon Show and fingers crossed, our Athletics Carnival.

So many of the above listed activities have only been possible through the commitment

and support from our whole school community, including our staff, parents and carers. I

would like to take this opportunity to thank you all, not only for the effort that you put

into our school, but also the amazingly kind, caring, and cheerful way in which you do

it. Chatty School is truly an awesome community to be part of.

Reports and Parent Teacher Interviews - Reports were successfully

handed out on Thursday last week and having read them all, I am sure there are many,

many, proud parents and carers out there. Parent teacher interviews are also well on

the way, and whilst these are a great opportunity to discuss with your child’s/children’s

teacher any concerns you have, also remember that here at Chatty we have an open

door policy and that all staff are available for a chat at any time throughout the term.

Athletics Carnival - After a couple of days (and nights) of good weather, the
