• Last week, you practiced talking about skills that people need for their jobs.

• Today, we are going to use nouns to talk about things people need.

• The sentence you will be using is I have to have st and I need to have st.

• For example, what do you have to have when you come to class?

• You have to have your textbook.

• You need to have a pencil.

• You also need to have a notebook so you can take notes and do some of the group work.

• So as you can see, the something that is needed is a noun—not a verb.
