• The Pope gave Charlemagne the title of emperor and the Byzantines refuse to recognize him as emperor other than their own emperor.

• These Basilian and Benedictine rules were put in place to make sure the monks and nuns lived a wholesome life with out temptation. By not allowing temptation in your life one will find enlightenment. These men and women were able to become important players in that day and age. In conclusion Monks and Nuns lives became extraordinary and by following the rules of living simply and with prayer they will be fulfilled .
