General Reminders• Take advantage of every opportunity to
prepare for and take the ACT.• Take challenging courses to better prepare
for secondary options.• Want to get into a good college or play sports
in college? Focus on your GPA. (The NCAA does not accept credit recovery classes!)
• Carefully consider class choices and alternates. Changes will not be made unless the school has made an error.
Sophomore Year Reminders• Take the ACT if you plan to Dual Enroll at CSCC
in 11th. Complete CSCC registration in the spring for fall classes in your Junior year.
• Choose your electives carefully. At the end of this year, you must choose your Focus Area.
• Explore careers, colleges, and tech schools of interest.
• Participate in school activities/sports and community service opportunities to build your resume for post high school applications.
Junior Year Reminders• Use the ACT test prep class to improve your
knowledge and test taking skills. Take the free ACT test in the spring. The ACT is a graduation requirement.
• Complete registration in the spring if you plan to Dual Enroll at CSCC in the fall.
• Explore careers and begin visits to colleges and tech schools of interest.
• Continue to build your resume for post high school applications with school activities/sports and community service.
