Engine load
Loss rate
Crop volume in feederhouse
Engagement:To engage CRUISE PILOT, briefly press the A-button on the multi-function lever
If held until it beeps, the combine will relearn current throughput in feederhouse
Disengagement:To disengage CRUISE PILOT, tap the foot brake (recommended) or pull back on the multi-function lever.
Tapping the brake makes for a smoother disengagement
CRUISE PILOT setup
CLAAS of America Inc. | CEMOS setup and controls guide LEXION 780 - 670 (2017)6
Procedure
1Engage the processor and feederhouse; learn the max. no-load speed
Learn the max. no-load speed periodically to ensure accurate reading of the engine load indicator
2Select “on” in the master switch screen to turn on CRUISE PILOT
Page 8: CRUISE PILOT functions are located under gear icon
3Select desired CRUISE PILOT driving strategy
Page 9: recommended strategy: Maximum throughput with grain loss sensing
4Learn zero throughput with no crop in the feederhouse
Page 10
5Set maximum desired harvesting ground speed
Page 13: the combine will not operate over this set speed when CRUISE PILOT is engaged
6
To set the target throughput, harvest normally at the desired throughput level (ignoring losses for now), then press
and hold the A-button button until it beeps; target throughput will now be set to crop thickness in the feederhouse
Page 12: to set target throughput manually
7If using “Maximum throughput with grain loss sensing“ strategy, set the loss sensors to the desired loss sensitivity
The loss triangles should be filled roughly halfway, to ensure that the machine can read a change is loss levels; repeat this process
if necessary

After CEMOS AUTOMATIC has found the effective range
for each system to function within for those particular
harvest conditions, the systems will then go through check
phases between every 4 and 40 minutes. These check
phases will ensure that the machine is functioning within
the correct range for the harvest conditions. The learning
phases usually do not take longer than 20 seconds and
are displayed by a symbol in the CEBIS loss display.
During the learning phases of the CEMOS AUTOMATIC
functions, the loss or returns displays in the CEBIS
harvest display are temporarily displayed in grey.
CEMOS AUTO SEPARATION learning phase: “ “
symbol appears above the rotor losses.
CEMOS AUTO CLEANING learning phase: “ “ symbol
appears above the sieve losses.
