Fund for All Saints StartsThis year’s Fund for All Saints charitable giving campaign will kick-off this week. Last year, the Fund for All Saints raised more than $110,000 and helped us complete a number of curricular, capital, and facility projects.

This year’s theme is Every Gift, Every Family and our goal is to have 100% participation from current families and staff. The Fund for All Saints directly benefits the students, faculty, and staff of All Saints. It allows us to continue laying the foundation, not only providing an excellent academic education, but also developing the spiritual and moral growth of each student. And, as partners in the success of All Saints, we have a responsibility to strengthen our learning environment.

Our school - through tuition alone - can only accomplish certain essential needs. Today, the gap between the cost to educate a student and tuition is about $750; therefore, we ask our current parents, alumni parents, grandparents, and friends, to partner with us and make a charitable gift to the Fund for All Saints.

Letters, commitment cards, and information highlighting the importance of participation will be mailed to each household this week, and as you prayerfully consider a gift to the Fund for All Saints, remember it takes our entire community to reach our goal.

Be assured that 100% of your gift will directly support the mission of All Saints Catholic School. No matter how big or small, together we can reach our goals and ensure the excellence of All Saints Catholic School. Thank you in advance for your consideration.

All Saints’ MOPS MeetingsAre you looking for a group of moms that you can share ups and downs with? Where you can encourage other moms? Then MOPS is for you!

MOPS is an international non-profit Christian organization. Its mission is to support moms of young children (kindergarten and younger) and create communities where moms can share, laugh, cry, pray, eat, smile, and create, all while deepening their faith and creating lasting friendships. This group builds community over craft projects, listening to guest speakers, sharing potluck buffets, and facilitating discussions.

We also offer a MOPs Kids program for your little ones to enjoy some age appropriate crafts, toys, and activities and allergy-friendly snacks. Our caregivers have all fulfilled the Archdiocesan requirements for working with children and have completed special MOPs training. Our next meeting will be at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, September 22, 2017, at St. John Neumann Catholic Church. If you would like more information please contact Julie Sweetman [email protected].

The Parent Prayer Team also has an online document where families can leave requests for prayer intentions, which are noted during the Friday sessions. Younger children are welcomed to stay with their parents during prayers.

Classroom Happenings...

In case you missed it, Ms. Roser, the new art teacher, published an Art video on YouTube last week. If you haven’t seen it, check it out on All Saints’ YouTube channel at: www.youtube.com/allsaintscs.

As part of their Friday global current events focus, students in the junior high explored: the impact of major natural disasters, the economics of the National Football League, and how New Earth, a Los Angeles non-profit, is providing opportunities to improve the lives of inner-city youth.

Last week, our 8th grade scientists worked on their laboratory measurement and observation skills in science. They used the triple beam balance, graduated cylinders, and thermometers to take measurements and do calculations. They then used this data to make graphs and draw conclusions about what they observed.
