CBSE - INTEL AI-thons: AI readiness workshops for students
Responding to the overwhelming response received to the first CBSE-Intel AI-thon organised at
Chandigarh in July 2019 (ref. Notification no. 31, dated 10th July, 2019), CBSE in collaboration with Intel,
will be organising similar AI-thons: AI readiness workshops for students, at various locations
throughout the country as per the following schedule:

* The list of the selected students shall be available on the CBSE website 5 days prior to each AI-Thon.
Please note that
AI-thon is an extensive three-day workshop for students from 9 am to 5 pm on all days.
Each participating school should select only two students who fulfil the eligibility criteria.
There is no fee for attending these workshops.
The participation in these workshops is strictly on first-come-first-served basis as seats are limited.
CBSE will not provide any TA/DA or stay facility to the participants. The participating schools shall
have to make the travel and stay arrangements for the participants.
Refreshments will be provided during the workshop.

CBSE – INTEL AI-THON
INVITING STUDENTS TO JOIN CBSE – INTEL AI - Thons
CBSE in collaboration with Intel, is hosting three days deep dive hands on
workshop: AI – Thon: AI Readiness workshop. The full day workshop aims to
introduce students to the basics of AI and taking them through the complete
journey concluding with converting ideas to projects. This is in sync with the
inclusion of AI as a subject by CBSE from the current academic year.
During these AI-Thon, students will attend sessions on following topics:
Computer Vision
Data collection
Natural Language Processing
AI Project Cycle Framework
Sustainable Development Goals
Data Science
AI ethics
Creating real time projects
The key objective of these AI-thons is to enable and empower students with AI skills
and use them to find solutions to the problems faced by the community related to
climate change, food security health, sanitation etc. and thus become AI ready.
Eligibility criteria for AI-Thon
Any student of classes VIII to X from any CBSE affiliated school can participate.
Students of the schools who have opted for AI as a Skill subject may be
preferred.
Students with prior knowledge of Python and higher proficiency in
Mathematics may be considered.
Students with keen interest in learning/mastering AI and its application may be
given an opportunity.
The participation in these workshops is strictly on first-come-first-served basis as
the no. of seats at each venue is limited to 50 participants.
Decision of the organizers shall be final.
