Providingfundingandresources Theheadteacherandthegovernorsarestrongadvocatesfortheartsandculturalactivity.Theyensurefundingfromtheirdelegatedbudgetforstaffing,trainingandresourcesandaregratefultothePTFAforsupplementingthisfunding.Theleadershipdeploycreativeprofessionalstoworkaspartoftheteamoverasustainedperiodoftime,ratherthancomingintodeliveryadefinedactivitywithminimalteacherinvolvement.E.g.InvestinginamusicspecialistemployedtoworkwithYear6forhalfadayforthewholeyear,butinitiallyworkingontheTempestProject.

Whilehighprofileartsandcultureactivityhasgiventheschoolkudosandrespect,ithasn’tsofar,broughtfundingtotheschool.Thecostofbuying-inlearningopportunitieshowever,hasproved invaluable,andthegainshavefaroutweighedthecost.Developingpartnershipworkingisvitaltoimprovequalityoflearningoutcomesforstaffandstudents.Adoptingareciprocalapproachwhenworkingwithpartnerssothatexpertiseissharedonbothsideshelpstocreatestrongerrelationships.
