CMW Silent Auction Have you always wanted to bid on Silent Auction items, but knew you would not be available 2 days later to snare that great piece at the last minute - let alone pay for it? Well.....this year a Silent Auction will be held each day of the Show Weekend. There will be new and fabulous items Friday, Saturday and Sunday (Feb. 22, 23 & 24). On Friday and Saturday the Auction will close 30 minutes after the Best In Show Competition. On Sunday, the Auction will close at the end of the lunch break. Items are needed and appreciated. If you do not have something you want to donate, please consider a cash donation. Our very talented Silent Auction Chair, Susan Skaggs, will create a fabulous gift basket identified as donated by you! HEALTH CLINICS
There will be a heart and eye clinic on Saturday, February 23, 2013.
Heart auscultations will be done by Dr. Sonya Gordon, Bsc, DVM, DVsc. Cost is $40.00 if paid in advance, $50.00 on day of show.
Eye (CERF exams) will be done by Dr. Rachael Ring,DVM, ACVO. Cost is $30.00 if paid in advance, $40.00 on day of show.

SPECIAL EVENTS
Friday Afternoon: “Ring Procedures and Management” This seminar will be presented by Bob and Elaine Whitney and will be
begin one hour after Best in Show. This seminar will focus on in the ring
management for judges and exhibitors. It will discuss various scenarios in the
ring with the emphasis on using your time wisely and in an orderly manner.
While working with dogs, the time will be spent talking about the pros and cons of several different routines of judging both small and large classes of
dogs. $10. per person. Must be paid for in advance. See Summary Sheet for details.
Saturday Evening: Cash Bar, CKCSC NATIONAL ANNUAL AWARDS
BANQUET & Live Auction. The CKCSC National Awards presentation for 2012 will be held. The Top 10 Awards, Top Performance Awards, and Top
Junior Handler for 2012 will be announced and the certificates awarded. Auction items include fabulous Cavalier collectible items and much more!

This is an event that you will not want to miss. Cash Bar 6:30 pm; Dinner 7:00 pm. Dinner Buffet consisting of Classic Garden Salad, choice of
dressing, Sirloin strip steak with bleu cheese butter, Lemon herb grilled chicken breast, Loaded mashed potatoes with bacon, cheese, chives, and
sour cream, Roasted corn off the cob, Broccoli, cauliflower, carrot medley, Assorted warm dinner rolls, New York style cheesecake and chocolate mousse
cake. $50. per person. Includes a complimentary bottle of red and white

Sunday Evening: After Party at the Eubank’s home Enjoy fun, friends, and good eats. Great BBQ from Norm Vezina and the gang at "BACKYARD BBQ and Catering, Inc". Ted and Mary Grace Eubank and Bruce and Shirley Henry are hosting this rockin’ eve with great oldies, karaoke, and a special performance by super song bird, Cindy Hooper.
The cost for this dinner is $10. Reservations are required.
Transportation is available if needed, which must be reserved and paid for in advance.

For those riding the bus, meet in lobby at 5:45 P.M.
Bus will leave hotel at 6:00 P.M. For those providing their own transportation,

PUPPY OF THE YEAR ANNOUNCEMENTS
Bracket Drawing for the head-to-head matchups will be held at 5:00 PM.
Puppy of the Year 2013 will start at 6:00. There will be a cash bar and hors d’oeuvres available during the competition. A champagne and cake
Toast To The Winners immediately follows the competition.
POTY entry forms must be received by Beth Bales by January 28, 2013.
Note that this is EARLIER than the postmark closing for this show. If
you have not received an invitation and believe that your dog qualified, please contact her immediately. Cut-off date to qualify for this year’s
competition was the 2012 National Specialty.
In-season Bitches are allowed to compete for Puppy of the Year. If they
compete in POTY, then they are allowed to compete in the championship
shows on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. In-season bitches who did not qualify for Puppy of the Year or exhibit in that competition are not allowed to
compete in the championship shows. (Refer to Show Rules Section II, Rule 3.)

Supplemental Entry Form and proof of foreign registration are required if

If you are renting a car at DFW Airport, leave the car rental facility and watch
for the North Airport Exit. There is much construction outside the north end
of the airport, so watch carefully for the exit to State Highway 114 East. Go east on Hwy 114 approximately 1.5 miles to Esters exit. Exit and go north
(left) on Esters over the freeway. Hotel is on the right.

Everyone MUST comply with the request that ALL DOGS be crated at all times when not under the direct supervision of a wide awake, responsible adult.
This is for the protection of you, your dog and the hotel. PLEASE USE DESIGNATED EXERCISE AREAS. Please cover furnishings &
beds with your own sheets & towels if dogs will get on the furniture. NO
bathing of dogs. If feet need touch-up, use your own towels. Clean hair from sinks and tubs. NO WET DOGS ON THE FURNITURE.
Bring the necessary requirements for IMMEDIATE clean-up. Inform hotel of any serious damage to your room. This is YOUR responsibility. Report
barking dogs, catch any dogs running loose, carry extra baggies. Pick up ALL litter and place in the bins provided.
Protective padding will be provided to guests upon check-in that is large
enough to accommodate 4-5 crates. All crates and dog equipment must be kept on the protective padding. If you need additional protective covering,
please ask one of the show chairs. Future shows at this site depend on how well you control and clean up after
your dogs, your children and yourselves.

SPECIAL AWARDS ORDER OF JUDGING REMINDER The Special Awards, Best Blenheim In Show, Best Tri-Color In Show, Best Ruby In Show, Best Black-and-Tan In Show, Best American Bred In Show, and Best Bred By Exhibitor In Show are now judged after Best Puppy Dog/Bitch is awarded. The dog and bitch winners of each category will compete against each other at the end of the show after Best Puppy In Show.
DEFINITION OF CLASSES The term "Dog" applies to both sexes unless otherwise specified.
CONFORMATION
Official Conformation Classes (Championship Points awarded if entry justifies.)
Junior Puppy: Puppies 5 months but not yet 9 months. Senior Puppy: Puppies 9 months but not yet 12 months. Graduate Puppy: Dogs 12 months but not yet 18 months and not holding a CKCSC, USA championship title. Novice: Dogs 5 months and older, never to have won any points at a CKCSC,USA or CKCSC Regional Championship
Show nor at a Championship (Point) Show in any country in which the Breed is recognized. Bred By Exhibitor: Dogs 5 months and older, owned by the breeder and handled in the ring by the breeder or his/her
spouse or domestic partner. The breeder is the registered owner of the dam at the time of whelping. Junior American Bred: Dogs 5 months but not yet 18 months, whelped in the USA of a mating that took place in the
USA, and not holding a CKCSC, USA championship if over 12 months of age. American Bred: Dogs 18 months and older, whelped in the USA of a mating that took place in the USA and not holding
a CKCSC, USA championship title. Second Generation American Bred: Dogs 5 months and older which are American Bred and of which both sire and
dam are American Bred, and not holding a CKCSC, USA championship title. (Offered at the National Specialty, Members Club Show, and Trudy Brown Memorial Rally only.)
Health & Conformation: Dogs 5 years and older with an OFA certificate that shows an OFA registry number and states that the dog has not evidence of hip displaysia after 2 years of age and certified clear within 1 year of the postmark closing date for that show of the following diseases: Heart - by a board certified cardiologist; Patellar Luxation - by a licensed veterinarian or via an OFA certificate; Eyes - by CERF of by a board certified veterinary opthalmologist's exam sheet indicating that the eyes are "normal". Copies of the 4 certificates must accompany the entry form for any dog entering this class.
Special Limit Blenheim: Blenheim dogs 5 months and older and not holding a CKCSC, USA championship title if over 12 months of age.
Special Limit Tricolor: Tricolor dogs 5 months and older and not holding a CKCSC, USA championship title if over 12 months of age.
Special Limit Ruby: Ruby dogs 5 months and older and not holding a CKCSC, USA championship title if over 12 months of age.
Special Limit Black & Tan: Black & Tan dogs 5 months and older and not holding a CKCSC, USA championship title if over 12 months of age.
Open: Dogs 5 months and older. Senior Open: Dogs 7 years and older.
Unofficial Conformation Classes (No championship points awarded.)
Veteran: Dogs 7 years and older. Stud Dog: Stud dogs to parade with 2 or more of their get from at least 2 different litters, not necessarily in the same
ownership. Get must be entered in an Official or Unofficial Conformation Class at this Show. CLASS TO BE JUDGED ON QUALITY AND CONSISTENCY OF GET ONLY.
Brood Bitch: Brood bitches to parade with two or more of their produce from at least two different litters, not necessarily in the same ownership. Produce must be entered in an Official or Unofficial Conformation Class at this Show. CLASS TO BE JUDGED ON QUALITY AND CONSISTENCY OF PRODUCE ONLY.
Brace: Two dogs 5 months or older, of the same color and in the same ownership but not necessarily of the same sex. CLASS TO BE JUDGED ON SIMILARITY AND QUALITY.
FINAL AND SPECIAL AWARDS
All official conformation classes are judged for dogs, then bitches. Winners/Reserve Winners/Best Puppy competition takes place after judging concludes for that sex. Initial competition for Special Awards Best Blenheim, Tricolor, Ruby, and Black-and-Tan In Show is held after Best Puppy for that sex is awarded. Unofficial conformation classes, including Best Veteran In Show, are judged after the competition for Winners/Reserve Winners Bitch/Best Puppy Bitch. The remaining Final and Special Awards follow the unofficial conformation classes.
Final Awards (Championship points awarded if entry justifies.)
Winners (WD, WB): Awarded from the Class Winners. Reserve Winners (RWD, RWB): Awarded from the remaining Class Winners and the second place dog to Winners. Best PuppyDog/Bitch (BPD, BPB): Awarded from the Junior and Senior Puppy Classes. Best In Show (BIS): Awarded from Winners Dog and Winners Bitch. Reserved Best In Show (RBIS): Awarded from the Opposite Sex Winner and the Reserve Winner to Best In Show. Best Puppy In Show (BPIS): Awarded from the winners of the Best Puppy Dog/Bitch competitions after Reserve Best
In Show competition.
Special Awards (No championship points awarded.)
Best Veteran In Show: Awarded from the winners of the Veteran Classes immediately following the Veteran Class competition.
Special Awards: Awarded from eligible dogs from all of the classes. The definition for the Special Award is the same as the associated class definition.

Children’s Handling: Handlers 6 years but not yet 12 years. Dogs not to be placed upon the examining table. Senior Handling: Handlers 12 years but not yet 17 years. Dogs to be placed upon examining table.
NEW WAYS TO ENTER AND PAY FOR SHOW ENTRIES We will accept ENTRIES via EMAIL and FAX, in addition to MAIL. We will accept CREDIT CARDS and PAYPAL in addition to personal check. There is a $5. convenience fee for paying by PayPal or credit card. PLEASE read the instructions CAREFULLY. TO USE THE NEW FILLABLE FORMS:
1. DOWNLOAD the Summary and Entry Forms at the CKCSC website:
www.ckcsc.org to your computer.
2. TYPE all of the information required on the form.
3. PRINT the completed forms.
4. SIGN the completed forms. (It is a requirement that all entry forms be
signed.)
TO PAY VIA PAYPAL: 1. Sign on to PayPal at www.paypal.com. (You must have an account with
PayPal to use this method. It is free and easy to set up an account if you
do not already have one.) You may pay with a credit card, debit card or bank
account of your choice.
