Trash Talk
Make a list of everything you can remember throwing away in the last 48 hours
After about 3 minutes, you will each write one thing from your list on the board
Trash Talk and the LCM
Remember the LCM?Matter cannot be created or
destroyed, justconverted from one form of matter
to another. Consider the following statement:There is no such thing as “waste.”It is impossible to “throw away”
anything.

How much of this stuff is necessary? What are some alternatives to
throwing away the “trash” we listed on the board?
Why is it important to think about what we use, what we throw away, and how to come up with alternatives?
Types of Waste – Expert Groups One person from each group will go
to one expert station You have 5 minutes to read over your
type of waste You will then have 5 minutes to
share your knowledge with your home group
