The designer

Claire Batardière studied at the Duperré art school in Paris where she majored in fashion design. Her diploma project was inspired by key-words such as “fun-to-use”, “personal”, “sense of humour”, “surprising”, “modular”, “versatile”…These ideas rapidly crystallized around something transfor-mable, constructed, folded and foldable and “do-it-yourself.

Eco-friendly

All our leathers and textile are carefully selected among the surpluses of the luxury industries. By recovering unused leather and textile offcuts, we are giving them a second life through our accessories.Wrinkles or blemishes on the leather are the guarantee of our up-cycling. These slight defects make our bags even more original! With time and use, they become unique and per-sonal.All our collection is composed of handbags and accessories available in a wide array of colors and produced in a mini-series.

A social commitment

Based in Western France (Maine-et-Loire), Deux Filles en Fil choose to support the know-how of this region well known for its luxury industries and which is facing economic difficulties due to business closures.

To maintain a French manufacturing and offer affordable handbags, Deux Filles en Fil designs handbags sold “flat-packed” (with press-studs and without sewing). It permits to reduce the manufacturing process for each handbag and so keep producing in France.

La créatrice

Diplômée de l’école Duperré de Paris, Claire Batardière est designer de Deux Filles en Fil. Pour son projet de fin d’études, ses recherches se sont inspirées de mots-clés qui sont devenus les fils conducteurs de ses créations : « ludique », « personnel », « surprenant », « modulable », « transformable »…Chaque création est orientée vers des jeux de transfor- mations, de constructions, de pliages, ainsi sont nés les sacs « à plat et à monter soi-même », les sacs modulables et les accessoires transformables.

Une démarche éco

Tous les cuirs et textiles utilisés sont de qualité supérieure et rigoureusement sélectionnés parmi les excédents de l'Industrie de la mode.Récupérer ces chutes inutilisées, c’est leur donner une seconde vie à travers nos accessoires. Sur le cuir, les rides, les légères imperfections et irrégularités d’aspect sont le gage de notre politique de récupération. C’est aussi ce qui donne l’originalité à nos accessoires pour qu’ils deviennent, avec l’usage et le temps, uniques et personnels.Tous les sacs et accessoires sont proposés dans de nombreuses couleurs et motifs en quantité limitée.

Un engagement social

Basées dans le Maine-et-Loire, Deux Filles en Fil a choisi de soutenir le savoir-faire de cette région, connue pour ses compétences en maroquinerie mais fortement sinistrée par les fermetures et délocalisations d'usines qui sévissent depuis plusieurs années.

Pour assurer une production française et proposer des sacs en cuir accessibles, Deux Filles en Fil a créé le concept de sacs à-plat (à pressions et sans couture) permettant de réduire le temps de production par sac. Ainsi toute la collection cuir est réalisée chez les derniers sous-traitants autour de Cholet dans l’ouest de la France.

The new original and clever concept of Deux Filles en Fil is the modular handbag.

Either flat or shaped as a cube, berlingot or shop-ping bag, you can transform these bags into different shapes and match your style!The transformation is feasible thanks to the different folds on the bag. This former technique used in the shoe and leather industries does not involve any risk of fragility. With the removable and adjustable shoulder strap you can carry your bag on different ways: as a messenger bag, over the shoulder or on your two shoulders in “holster” position!

Le nouveau concept original et astucieux de Deux Filles en Fil est le sac modulable. Avec 1 sac, vous pouvez lui donner de 2 à 4 formes différentes en fonction des modèles : plat, cabas, berlingot… le sac se transforme selon vos envies et vos besoins. Utilisant les anciennes techniques de fabrication de la chaussure, les cuirs sont travaillés pour que le sac ne présente aucune fragilité et garde les différentes formes dans les temps. Avec leur bandoulière amovible et ajustable, les sacs peuvent être portés de plusieurs façons : à l’épaule, en bandoulière et même sur les deux épaules en « holster » !

Le concept original et unique de Deux Filles en Fil est le sac vendu « à plat » et à monter soi-même par un ingénieux système de scratchs et de pressions. Vous pouvez alors les « monter » et les « démonter » à volonté, les ranger à plat au fond d’une armoire, les nettoyer et les entretenir facilement.Ce système de fermeture par pressions est sécurisé. Lorsque le sac est chargé, tout le poids va au fond de celui-ci et aucune force n’est exercée sur les pressions. Il n’y a donc aucun risque d’ouverture hasardeuse.Avec leur bandoulière amovible et ajustable, les sacs peuvent être portés de plusieurs façons : à l’épaule, en bandoulière et même sur les deux épaules en « holster » !
