SHELLFISH FARMING IN LONGLINE

SYSTEM

TECHNOSEA srl is a leading Italian Company in Fish

and Shellfish Farming Equipment Supply.

TECHNOSEA srl offers services of designing for

systems of mussel, oyster, scallop and clam

farming in floating, sub-floating and submersed

long-lines. The latter, of Scottish origin, is mainly

used for offshore farming.

POLYETHYLENE FLOATS FOR LONG_LINES SYSTEM IN MUSSEL FARMING

The buoys can be supplied with compressed air fillings (1.5 bar) and safety valve, with

expanded polysthyrene filling for a max 5-mt use or with fillings in expanded closed

cell polyurethane for in depth use. The floating thrusts available are 60, 80, 115, 160

and 180 lts/buoyancy. The 115 lts type is normally used as interline float and the 160

lts one as head-link float.

FULLY EQUIPPED SERVICE BOATS

TECHNOSEA srl employs professional engineers with proven experience to design and supply fully

equipped boats especially tailored for oyster and mussel farming as catamaran type.

It is possible to supply accessories only.

ROPES AND BRAIDS

On request, twisted ropes with 3 or

4 strands, are available in:

Polypropylene, Danline, Nylon

(Polyamide), Polyester.

Braids and double braids with and

without core in: High and Medium

Tenacity polyster, Dyneema.

NAVIGATIONALAIDSFORCOASTAL AREA

The buoys are manufactured by TECHNOSEA srl in steel

and treated externally with sandblast and yellow

polyurethane marine paints, in compliance with current

regulations. The buoys is surmounted by a top mark

traceable through radars and a SEALITEs marine lantern.

The solar energy marine lantern has been designed to

function without need for maintenance: they neither need

batteries nor bulb change and need no technical

assistance. They recharge in daylight, even when cloudy,

by emitting a flashing light with can be adjusted at night.

Avarage life of lights is between 5 and 8 years without

any maintenance.

Technical document such as drawning, descriptions,

pictures or even possible indications on property,

dimensions or weight are to be considered merely

informative and are not binding.

TechnoSEA srl reserves its right to carry out all the

modifications wich are considered necessary in accordance

with technical progress.

LATERN_NET FOR OYSTER FARMING

TECHNOSEA srl presents the new TECHNOSEA-LANTERNET for the oyster farming and mollusc stocking. The

lanterns are made in polyethylene and therefore without any maintenance. The opening and the closing of

the external netting, for the inside lantern access, are regulated from a tape of high resistance-VELCRO.

So, opening and closing are simple and fast operation and at the same time the VELCRO guarantees an

optimal holding power to the tear and the aggression of the marine water.

The shelf number can be up to 15.

The dimensions of each base, made with PE net of variable meshsize, had a diametr of 355 mm, the

distances between two shelf is 150 mm approx. Other diamer base size are available on demand.

SEAPA BASKETS FOR OYSTER FARMING

SEAPA baskets are all manufactured using food grade, UV stabilized co-polymer polypropylene in an injection moulding machine. The

baskets are designed to produce the highest quality oyster in the least amount of time. The durability of the SEAPA baskets provides the

opportunity for cost savings for farmers as they will have to repair and replace SEAPA less frequently than traditional methods.

The baskets are quickly and easily assembled to minimise the farmers on shore expenses. For more information about the assembly of

baskets refer to the additional information menu.

Weight of 20mm basket: 381g (approx)- Weight of 12mm basket: 452g (approx)- Weight of 6mm basket: 612g (approx).Specifications:

The SEAPA standard cap is a simple design, but it is this simplicity that makes it so effective. The standard

cap is easy to attach by sliding it over the tabs on the end of the basket and then locks in place by pushing

the tab outwards. SEAPAs standard caps are all manufactured using UV stabilized co-polymer polypropylene

in an injection moulding machine.

Weight of Standard Cap: 87g (approx).Specifications:

The SEAPA clip has evolved from the original duck hook design in the early days to its current design. The

changes have been made to improve the durability of the clips in rough conditions and to also improve the

ability of the clip to remain on the line in all conditions. In rough conditions, it is not unusual to see SEAPA

baskets doing 360s around the line, but the clips just holds tight.

Our Riser clips have also under gone a few modifications since they were first designed. Based on feedback

received from farmers we have made a few minor changes to the clips to improve its ability to hold the line,

whilst still allowing for the line to be adjusted quickly and easily.

Both our SEAPA and Riser clips are currently made from UV stabilized co-polymer polypropylene in an

injection moulding machine, however we are investigating the use of other materials that may provide even

better performance.
