Preparation of substrates Substrates must be compact and consistent, free from dust, oil and grease, free from any rising damp, with no loose, flaky, or imperfectly anchored parts. The substrate must be stable, without cracks and have already completed the curing period of hygrometric shrinkage. Uneven areas must be corrected with suitable smoothing and finishing products.

PreparationSuperflex Eco is prepared by mixing together parts A and B from the bottom upwards, using a low-rev (≈ 400/min.) helicoidal agitator, re-specting the preset ratio of 6,4 : 1,6 of the packs. Pour part B into the bucket containing part A, being careful to mix the two parts uniformly until a smooth, even coloured mixture is obtained. The user must mix a quantity of adhesive which can be consumed within 1 hour at +23 °C / 50% R.H. Packs of Superflex must be stored at a temperature of ≈ +20 °C for at least 2/3 days prior to use.

ApplicationSuperflex Eco must be applied with a suitable, toothed spreader of the type and dimensions most appropriate for the format and type of tiles used. Using the smooth part of the spreader, apply a fine layer of product, pressing down onto the substrate in order to ensure maximum adhesion. Press down each tile to allow for maximum coverage of the surface. In environments subjected to heavy traffic, in external applications and wherever high-elasticity laying system is required, use the double-spread technique to ensure 100% applica-tion of the product to the rear of the tiles.

CleaningResidues of Superflex Eco can be cleaned from tools and covered surfaces with water and alcohol while the adhesive is still fresh. Once cured, the adhesive can only be removed by mechanical means.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

To waterproof a monolithic concrete substrate, a surface levelling coat of ≈ 2 mm thickness must be applied with the smooth part of the spreader. Then, adjust the thickness with the toothed side and apply a layer of Superflex Eco also on the back of each tile before laying.

SPECIAL NOTES

High-performance laying of porcelain tiles, marble, granite and ceramic tiles on deformable substrates must be carried out using two-component elastic, eco-friendly organic mineral adhesive with no vertical slip, compliant with EN 12004 – class R2 T, GreenBuilding Rating Eco 2, type Superflex Eco manufactured by Kerakoll. The substrate must be clean, free from any loose, flaky parts and adequately matured. A ____ mm toothed spreader must be used for an average coverage of ≈ ___ kg/m2. Create elastic fractionizing joints every ___ m2. Tiles must be laid with joints of ___ mm width.

Preparation of substratesThe substrate must be even, dry, free from dust, oil and grease, free of any rising moisture, with no loose debris, flaky or parts. Uneven areas will be corrected in advance with suitable finishing products. A primer is normally not necessary when laying on gypsum or anhy-drite. Nevertheless, check that the substrate is perfectly dry, laid in a single layer and without any thin finishing, that may be imperfectly anchored and therefore not suitable for the tile covering.

PreparationElastik Eco is ready-to-use and does not need any preparation. In any case, before use it is advisable to remix the product well inside the container to ensure the mixture is of an even consistency. The high thixotropy of Elastik Eco means it can also be used on walls. Any excess adhesive can be kept for later use by putting the lid back on the container.

ApplicationElastik Eco should be applied directly to the substrate with a suitable toothed spreader; use a quantity of adhesive sufficient to ensure full tile wettability of the back. Lay tiles while the adhesive is fresh, pressing them lightly to ensure perfect adhesion. Ceramic tiles do not normally have to be wetted in advance, however check for any traces of dust or dirt.

CleaningResidual traces of Elastik Eco can be removed from tools and covered surfaces with water before the product hardens.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Elastik Eco is an adhesive dispersed in water solution. Low temperatures and low substrate and material absorption may greatly extend setting and hardening times of the adhesive.Expansion and desolidarisation joints must be foreseen every 20/25 m2 in interiors, 10/15 m2 in exterior and any 8 meters in length for long and narrow surfaces.

SPECIAL NOTES

Certified, high-performance laying of ceramic tiles, porcelain tiles and marble must be performed with a ready-to-use, eco-friendly, organic, mineral adhesive for high-deformation laying with no vertical slip, compliant with EN 12004 – Class D2 TE, GreenBuilding Rating® Eco 5, such as Elastik Eco by Kerakoll Spa. A ____ mm toothed spreader must be used for an average coverage of ≈ ___ kg/m2. Existing joints must be respected, create elastic fractionizing joints every ___ m2. Tiles must be laid with joints of ___ mm width.

Substrates:- mineral screeds such as Keracem® Eco Pronto, Keracem® Eco Prontoplus and Rekord® Eco Pronto- screeds with mineral binders Rekord® Eco and Keracem® Eco- cement, gypsum and scagliola plasters- plasterboard, gypsum brick, concrete block and cellular concrete walls- cement-based screeds, anhydrite screeds- prefabricated concrete and fresh concrete castings- chipboard, plywood and similar materials

On internal floors and walls, in domestic, commercial and industrial applications.

Do not useFor external use, on wet surfaces or substrates subjected to moisture rising; in environments where water is always present; with low-absorption tiles on non-absorbent substrates.

AREAS OF USE

Preparation of substratesThe substrate must be even, dry, free from dust, oil and grease, free of any rising moisture, with no loose debris, flaky or parts. Uneven areas will be corrected in advance with suitable finishing products. A primer is normally not necessary when laying on gypsum or anhy-drite. Nevertheless, check that the substrate is perfectly dry, laid in a single layer and without any thin finishing, that may be imperfectly anchored and therefore not suitable for the tile covering.

PreparationUniversal Eco is ready-to-use and does not need any preparation. In any case, before use it is advisable to remix the product well inside the container to ensure the mixture is of an even consistency. The high thixotropy of Universal Eco means it can also be used on walls. Any excess adhesive can be kept for later use by putting the lid back on the container.

ApplicationUniversal Eco should be applied directly to the substrate with a suitable toothed spreader; use a quantity of adhesive sufficient to ensure full tile wettability of the back. Lay tiles while the adhesive is fresh, pressing them lightly to ensure perfect adhesion. Ceramic tiles do not normally have to be wetted in advance, however check for any traces of dust or dirt, which must be removed.

CleaningResidual traces of Universal Eco can be removed from tools and covered surfaces with water before the product hardens.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Universal Eco is an adhesive dispersed in water. Low temperatures and low substrate and material absorption may greatly extend set-ting and hardening times of the adhesive.

Insert desolidarisation and elastic fractionizing joints every 20/25 m2 and every 8 metres in long, narrow applications.

SPECIAL NOTES

Certified laying of ceramic tiles, porcelain tiles and marble must be performed with a ready-to-use, eco-friendly, organic, mineral adhesive for high adhesion laying with no vertical slip, compliant with EN 12004 – Class D1 TE, GreenBuilding Rating® Eco 5, such as Universal Eco by Kerakoll Spa. A ____ mm toothed spreader must be used for an average coverage of ≈ ___ kg/m2. Existing joints must be respected, create elastic fractionizing joints every ___ m2. Tiles must be laid with joints of ___ mm width.
