Cinema City boasts over 26 state-of-the-art movie theaters and over 11,000 square meters of commercial space. Cinema City was faced with the challenge of finding a way to transform every square meter of it into a venue-wide display that would provide an appealing and fully-immersive display capable of WOW-ing cinema-goers. Complicating this was that even though the solution they were looking for was very large scale, it needed to be easy to update and remain cost-effective to operate. Having heard about YCD Multimedia’s experience in creating visually striking theater environments Cinema City asked YCD to spearhead the process of designing, physically installing and implementing a software system capable of meeting their needs for easy updates and crisp clean fully synchronized content playback. YCD Multimedia designed an incredible large scale digital signage solution capable of creating a cutting-edge cinema environment. The install was very large, incorporating over three-hundred video screens ranging in size from 42” to 65” throughout Cinema City’s shopping and concession areas. These screens were used to show movie trailers, highlight promotions, and contributed in creating bright, exciting ambiance. In addition to the large number of wall displays, another 200 light up LED floor tiles were also installed to truly create an immersive 360 degree sensory experience. Using YCD’s Cnario Digital Signage Suite, YCD Multimedia served content to 122 of the screens which had been arranged into five large video slices made of 35 displays each. Each of the video slices and the colorful light up floor tiles can be fully synchronized to playback in specific patterns if desired. Scheduled targeted advertisements and branding messages could also be played over the video slices as needed, providing an incredible opportunity for brands like Coca Cola to transform the entire venue into an advertisement at specific times designated by Cinema City.

YCD Multimedia’s creative services developed and produced the content for this ambitious project. The results were immediately evident, not only did YCD Multimedia deliver a hugely appealing fully cinematic experience, it also provided Cinema City with full control over their content updating and scheduling capabilities. This provided dynamic content to every screen venue-wide. Each space gives visitors a modern, exciting and up-to-date feeling that Cinema City sought to achieve.
