CASESTUDY–HAIR&NAILSALONOneofourveryfirstclientswasahairsaloninVirginia.Theywereagreatinitialclientforusinthattheyhadnorealmarketingtospeakof…awebsitethatwasneverupdated,norealcustomeracquisitionorretentionstrategy,verysparseprintadvertising,socialmediaaccountsthatwerelargelydormant…yougettheidea.Ineffect,theywereablankslatewherewecouldworkwiththemtobuildaneffectivemarketingstrategy.Thefirstthingwetackledwasthewebsiteasdatashowsthat70-80%ofthepeoplewhovisitabusinesswebsitearefirsttimevisitors.Inmanycases,thismaybetheirfirstexperiencewithyourbusinessandyouwantthemtoleavewiththebestimpressionpossible.Westartedfromscratchandworkedwiththesalonownertocraftaclean,elegant,andmodernwebsite–onethatwasjustlikehersalon.Thenewsitealsoletusfocusonancillaryelementsofhersalonlikeskincareservices,bridalparties,products,andotherimportantpartsofherbusiness.Afterthewebsitewasready,weworkedtobringthemostattentionwecouldtothewebsiteandcreateawarenessof thesalon in the localarea.Tobolster theseefforts,we implementedanemailmarketing platform to connect with and engagewith current clients.We also utilizedseveralpopularsocialmediasitessothesalonhadanactivepresenceonthosemediumsandweusedthemtomarketthesalontopotentialnewclients.Sincewe’vebeenworkingwiththeclient,we’vemadeseveralupgradestothewebsiteincludinglettingclientsbookappointmentsonlineandaddingane-commerceportalsotheycansellgiftcardsonline.Inadditiontotheonlineefforts,we’vealsocreatedpostcardsandsentouttargeteddirectmailofferstokeydemographicsandneighborhoodsnearthesalon.Wealsohelpthemcreatepointof sale signage,posters,exterior signs,anda fullarrayofbusiness, referral,andappointmentcards.The above case study describes one of our most typical working relationships.We have anextremely high client retention rate as we seek to build long term relationships. While wecertainly take on contract projects or “one-off” jobswhen time permits, an overwhelminglymajorityofourworkfocusesonclientswhoengageinmonthlyagreementswithourfirm.Thisenables us to step in and take the place of a non-existent or underperforming marketingoperation.Wefindthatthisfostersthebestoutcomesasourclientsareinvestedinworkingwithus andwe’re invested in their long term successes.
