Paul’s Purpose: Paul’s purpose in writing was to assign Titus with the task of establishing sound doctrine and godly living that would produce credible Christian testimonies.
Paul’s Purpose: As Paul’s purpose was being fulfilled in the Cretan
Christians and churches, they would demonstrate the following formula:
Faith + Practice = Witness
Sound Godly Credible Doctrine Living Testimony
Fruit of Good Deeds
Sermon Goal: Define Paul’s apostleship by discovering 3 “ministry
descriptions” so that we can lay the foundation of the authority of both the messenger and the message.
Second Description: Paul, the Messenger*The purpose of his message:
-To develop our faith.-To produce godliness.-To reveal the gospel.-To obey his calling.
