Personality Types Psychologist John Holland’s theory:
people who work in an environment that most closely matches their personality type are most likely to be satisfied and successful in their job
Six Personality Types: Doer, Thinker, Creator, Organizer, Persuader, Helper
DoerPeople in “doer” occupations often are interested in work that involves tools, drawings, machines, plants, animals etc. They enjoy the outdoors, athletic activity and hands-on learning.
ThinkerPeople in thinker occupations often are interested in work that involves science and math, and enjoy developing creative methods for problem solving. They like to be precise and they enjoy learning, investigating, evaluating, and analyzing things.
CreatorPeople in Creator occupations often are interested in work that is related to the creative arts, drama, music and all things imaginative. They have artistic abilities and like to work in unstructured situations.
Helper
People in Helper occupations often enjoy working with and helping people. They are helpful, friendly and trustworthy.
Persuader
People in Persuader occupations often are interested in situations involving sales, management and public speaking.
Organizer
People in Organizer occupations often enjoy detail-oriented work in a structured setting.

like? Which personality type are you next
most like? Which personality type are you least
most like?

Together, complete the following tasks: Identify 5 people (famous or not) who
share your dominant personality & describe their strengths and weaknesses
Brainstorm careers that would satisfy somebody with your dominant personality type
