I like to always know what is going on
with other people and I like to solve
problems and figure things out. I am
always wondering what happened in
an accident or when I see an
ambulance.
I love to be outdoors and being
active, and I love all types of animals,
and I have many pets like horses,
turtles, dogs, frogs, and chickens.
I like to help people who are
having a problem or don’t know
how to do something and I like
to inform them.
Environment
I would like to work along side with other people, and either inside or outside
would be good, but if I did work inside I would want to be doing different things
and maybe teaching or moving around and not always doing the same thing.
Holland Code Cont.
For investigative it
gave me veterinarian,
surgeon, and animal
scientist. Veterinarian
and animal scientist fit
me because I like to
work with animals and
like to figure things
out and find out what
is wrong. Surgeon
fits because you get
to figure out what is
wrong with a patient.
The jobs that the Holland Code gave me reflect me because they are what I am
interested in.
For realistic it gave me
lifeguards, ski patrol, and
other recreational protective
service workers, veterinary
assistants and laboratory
animal caretakers, and
radiologic technologists. The
protective service workers fit
me because I already ski
during the winter and I love it,
and I love being outside and
helping people. A veterinary
assistant and caretaker would
suit me well because I love
animals. Radiologic
technologist fits me because
it is working with people and
helping them.
For social it gave me
emergency medical
technicians and
paramedics, special
education teachers,
secondary school, and
biological science
teachers,
postsecondary.
Medical fits me
because it is working
with people and helping
them. The teachers
suits me because it
involves working with
students, helping them,
and teaching them new
things.

Shadowing
• Mentor: Mrs. Como
• Great Hollow Middle School
• My shadowing experience was fun and I learned a lot. I learned that in college you go for your masters or bachelors, and do a lot of observing and student teaching. I learned what type of things special education teachers do during the day and throughout the year. They have to do a lot of paperwork, and keep records on all their students and keep the parents informed of how they are doing. They make up IEP reports and goals for the students. I learned you have to be whatever the student needs at that time, and most of the time you don’t get to do what you need to do, because the student needs something else. I learned that you can have your own class with only your kids, or you might just be in the class with a regular teacher and help your kids out, an inclusion class. There is sometimes stress, because you have to form into what the kid needs at that time. I learned that it can be exciting at times and eventful.
