ConocoPhillips – Eagle FordConocoPhillips is a major player in the oil and gas industry and one of the largest

in the world for independent exploration and production. Although their main

headquarters is in Houston, Texas, they have remote drill sites all over the globe. I

have served as the interior designer on several recent projects, which has helped

me become familiar with their standards, taste in design and commitment to safety

throughout the construction process. Their field offices are often surrounded by

rural landscapes, so the interiors are brought alive with use of vibrant colors and an

abundance of natural light.

The Eagle Ford field office is located in Kennedy, Texas and was completed in the

Fall of 2013. During my internship in the Summer of 2013 I was able to participate

in some important decisions regarding furniture and materials along with the

architects, client and their preferred furniture specialist. The interiors that our firm

designed for Eagle Ford have become one of our client’s favorite projects to date

and a model for future projects.Reception Desk at Main Entry

Bakken Village ApartmentsThe Bakken Village Apartments is a design proposal for a housing project in North

Dakota. The desire for this project was to be an upscale apartment complex with

custom cabinetry, stone countertops and man-made marble vanity tops. While

quality materials and finishes were desired, the interiors needed to also accurately

represent the location and user profile.

My Primary Responsibilities:

• Selection of materials and finishes

• Finish plan

• Interior renderings for project proposal

Painted Pony CasinoThe Painted Pony Casino is located in Trenton, North Dakota.

Ambler Architects was challenged to expand their existing

trailers, creating a larger, more functional space to meet their

growing demands. Although most casinos are designed to be

flashy with a lot of sparkle and color, this casino needed to be a

little different. Catering primarily to male, blue collar workers,

it was important to consider the user profile and location in this

design development process.

My Primary Responsibilities:

• Research of Chippewa Turtle Mountain Band Indians

• Selection of materials and finishes

• Finish plan

• Interior renderings for client

Why Black and White?Sometimes clients tend to focus on color and materials

at first glance. In an attempt to redirect their feedback,

we presented these renderings in black and white to

ensure that we were headed in the right direction before

we honed in on the details.

“Dream Center”

Martin Luther King “Dream Center”The Martin Luther King Community Center has served the Muskogee

community in Oklahoma for nearly 40 years. This center provides a safe haven

for kids to receive quality attention and concern for their education and

wellbeing. Determined to keep the kids in an inspiring environment rather than

on the streets, the “Dream Center” is more than ready for a new facility.

My Primary Responsibilities:

• Selection of materials and finishes

• Finish plan

• Finish schedules

• Specialty equipment schedule

• Interior elevation annotations

• Additional annotations in construction

Bartlesville First United Methodist ChurchFounded in 1895, First Church has a rich history in Bartlesville and now meets in a

newly-constructed facility designed by Ambler Architects. During the original

construction of the church in 2013, we had specified stained concrete to be the flooring

in the building. Several months later, the product began to bubble up and lose adhesion

to the substrate. It was necessary to find a replacement flooring that could be installed

quickly, while also providing durability and ease of maintenance for the staff.

My Primary Responsibilities:

• Selection of materials and finishes

• Finish plan

• Several presentations regarding

suggestions of different products

• Continual communication with

flooring subcontractor and

team

• Continual communication

with client

• Final punch of facility
