Finances• Property tax values have rebounded from the Great Recession. After dropping over 14% in the 2012
County Reappraisal, residential property values have gone back up by over 13%. Public Utility values have continued to rise and are up almost 85% since 2012.
• District General Fund revenues have gone up nearly 11% from FY2012 to FY2016. For the same timeframe, General Fund expenditures have remained stable and FY2016 expenditures are actually about 1% lower than expenditures in FY2012. As a result, the District has been able to build a healthy carryover balance of about $8.7 million by the end of FY2016.
• The District faces challenges in the coming years and a healthy carryover balance will be needed to offset losses in State foundation aid and State personal property phase-out’s. In the current budget proposal for FY18 and FY19, the District would lose nearly $700,000 per year.
Transportation• 25 buses • 37 morning & afternoon routes • 1,260 stops per day • 879.47 miles per day • 156,545,66 miles per year • 1,621 morning & 1,607 afternoon students transported
