Canon Learning Portal
Introduction
We have written this guide to help you get the best from the new Canon Learning
Portal (CLP).
The Canon Learning Portal is a “best of breed” application which provides on
demand and at the point of need learning. It enables you to search, request and
launch various types of on line learning. This includes on line courses, podcasts,
documents, on line books and videos. The CLP Catalogue will include all existing
Canon courses previously available in MLZ as well as a wide variety of new and
exciting courses from external providers. In addition to this the system will also
manage classroom training courses.
CLP provides a single source for any required learning activity or resource and will
enable The Academy to ‘push’ learning to the right audience or for the individual
to ‘pull’ the learning that they require when they need it.
The purpose of this guide if to help you understand our learning system so you
can use it to help you reach your goals, increase your knowledge, develop
yourself and to be an efficient and effective Canon employee.

The Welcome Page is the first page that you will see when logging into CLP. It
provides you with a single overview of all the learning activities and tasks
available to you as well as notifications on pending approvals and actions.
The welcome page is a dashboard for your personal development. It helps you
see important learning topics, links, messages, actions and search engines. This
will enable you to take control of your own learning and will mean, in the case of
most of the learning options you will no longer need to wait for an answer from
your manager or HR department.
