Audrey and her husband retired to the Lake in 2016 after long careers in Illinois. Although she had learned to crochet and sew early in life, Audrey developed a pas-sion for knitting and other fiber arts about 10 years ago. In July 2016, the Kruses opened a yarn store in Camdenton called Fleeces To Pieces. Products from their farm as well as other quality yarns and alpaca apparel are sold at the shop. Audrey and other local fiber artists offer classes at the shop. There is also a Thursday eve-ning Sit and Knit from 4:00 – 8:00pm open to anyone interested in developing and sharing their fiber art skills and the fellowship with other fiber enthusiasts.
