Horner was engaged in research work with the Michigan Milk Producers Associ- ation and previously was a professor of econom- ics at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Mr . Horner held a doctor of philosophy degree from the Brookings School of Economics and Government in Washington, D . C. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Sue M. Horner. -1910- R . W. Hutto, '10ba, president of the Security National Bank at Norman, has been elected vice president of the Oklahoma Bankers Association . Garrett, '12ba, consulting geologist, has been elected president of the Tulsa Geologi- cal Society . Mr . Garrett was formerly fellow in geology and assistant in mineralogy at North- western University in Evanston, Illinois. - 1917- Josh Lee, '176a, member of the Civil Aero- nautics Board, left in June on an inspection tour of airlines in Mexico, Central America and South America . The trip was scheduled as a part of the policy of the board to give members first- hand knowledge of flying problems. - 1918- Stephen Chandler, '18, former Oklahoma City attorney, has been appointed federal district judge, with offices in the Federal Building, Oklahoma City. He expected to take office in June . 1920' Glenn C. Coates, '18-'20, mayor of Elk City, died June 7 following an appendectomy. He was 43 years old. Mr . Coates formerly worked on the Daily Ohlahoman in Oklahoma City, and at the time of his death was co-owner of an abstract company there . He was a member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity . Survivors include his wife and a brother, John J. Coates, '276a, of Oklahoma City . Mrs. George Calvert (Maude Richman, '20ms), Oklahoma City, was reappointed national home and family life chairman of the National Con- gross of Parents and Teachers at a board meeting in Chicago in May. Among other offices which she holds, Mrs. Calvert is a member of the State Board of Public Affairs . - 1923- Mrs. W. F. Duker (Corinne Lasater, '22-'23), resident of Honolulu, Hawaii, recently returned 1 4 to the States by Clipper for a visit in Pauls Val- ley with relatives. Her husband, a sugar ex- ecutive in the Hawaiian Islands, has a 2,000- acre ranch near Pauls Valley where she has been supervising crop planting. As soon as transpor- tation back to Hawaii is available, Mrs. Duker plans to return to her home there . On the morning of the Japanese bombing of Pearl Harbor, enemy planes flew directly over the Duker home which is situated on a mountainside near Hono- lulu . Mrs. Duker is a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority and formerly was director of the Farm Credit Administration in Wichita, Kansas . -1924- Samuel C. Fullerton, former Oklahoma dis- trict court judge and father of two alumnae, died June 8 in Oklahoma City . Survivors in- clude his wife and two daughters, Mrs. John Newton (Pauline Fullerton, '24ba), Miami, and Mrs. Ray Moore (Katherine Fullerton, '28he), Lamy, New Mexico. Mrs . Edna Stuard Meacham, '24fa, '401ibr ., Waurika, is employed as head of the Oklahoma Publishing Company library in Oklahoma City . A national service team football championship tournament for the 1943 season was proposed recently by Mike Monroney, '24ba, Oklahoma representative in Washington . Said Mr . Mon- roney, "If the War Department would sanction it and select the men to arrange the schedules and so forth, it could be handled nicely . Most of the athletic brains in the country are in service schools now, there would be no difficulty in out- fitting the teams, and the games could be played in nearby college fields ." Shaw, '28cn,g, formerly of Ty-rone, Oklahoma, assistant chief engineer ofthe Goodyear Aircraft Corporation of Akron,Ohio, is a leading advocate of the use oflighter-than-air craft as an instrument of de-fense in warfare . Since joining the Good-year Company in 1930, his work has in-cluded research and experimentation with air-craft, specializing in structural and flighttesting, instruments and stress analysis. Inaddition to his work with Goodyear, Mr .Shaw is an instructor of aeronautical engi-neering at Akron University and is active inthe field of social service . a resolution in April recommending that theEdwards Perpetual Calendar, devised by WillardE. Edwards, '29eng, be adopted by all nations atthe peace conference following the war. Theresolution requests that Congress propose to allnations appointment now of a national committeeto study the calendar with a view towards itsacceptance at the peace conference . Mr. Edwards,a navy lieutenant stationed in Hawaii, bases hiscalendar on a division of the 365-day year into91-day quarters of three months each . The firsttwo months of each quarter have 30 days and thethird month has 31 days, with New Year's dayan international holiday apart from any monthor week . may be thoroughly cleaned and disinfect-ed by using two or three tablespoons ofNu-Cloz Household Bleach in conjunc-tion with soap in the dishwater . Odorsof vegetables, fish, etc ., are completelyeliminated .

hold Bleach to each gallon of rinse water,cold or lukewarm. Soak clothes for 15minutes, then rinse several times in clearwater . If directions for laundering have

been followed use of bleach in rinse wateris not always necessary .

Removing StainsInk, fruit, vegetable, flower, grass, tea,and coffee stains, also scorch and mildew,may be removed from white or color-fast cotton or linen by soaking from 5to 15 minutes in a solution of two table-spoons Nu-Cloz Household Bleach in aquart of cold water. Repeat if necessaryand rinse well . Lemon juice or vinegarwill remove any brown spots remainingafter removing certain inks.

Disinfecting and DeodorizingRefrigerators, enamelware, bathtubs,

washbowls, linoleum, tile floors, etc ., maybe made clean and sanitary by washingwith a solution of two or three table-spoons of Nu-Cloz Household Bleach toa quart of soapy water. Wash the surfaceallowing the solution to remain a fewminutes, then rinse well with clear water .Most spots and stains will disappear .

Chinaware, glassware, or enamel usedin the sick room, may be thoroughly dis-infected by washing with a solution offive tablespoons Nu-Cloz HouseholdBleach added to each quart of warm,soapy water .
