Living Hope https://youtu.be/nz3139x8w5s

Verse 1 How great the chasm that lay between us How high the mountain I could not climb

In desperation I turned to heaven And spoke Your name into the night

Then through the darkness Your loving-kindness Tore through the shadows of my soul

The work is finished the end is written Jesus Christ my living hope

Verse 2 Who could imagine so great a mercy

What heart could fathom such boundless grace The God of ages stepped down from glory

To wear my sin and bear my shame The cross has spoken I am forgiven The King of kings calls me His own Beautiful Savior I’m Yours forever

Jesus Christ my living hope Chorus

Hallelujah praise the One who set me free Hallelujah death has lost its grip on me

You have broken every chain There’s salvation in Your name

Jesus Christ my living hope Verse 3

Then came the morning that sealed the promise Your buried body began to breathe Out of the silence the Roaring Lion

Declared the grave has no claim on me Jesus Yours is the victory

Ending Jesus Christ my living hope

Oh God You are my living hope

Prayer of Confession Can be read by a single reader or read in unison by all gathered.

Almighty God, you have raised Jesus from the grave and crowned him Lord of all.

We confess that we have not bowed before him or acknowledged his rule in our lives.

We have gone along with the way of the world and failed to give him glory.

Forgive us and raise us from sin, that we may be your faithful people,

obeying the commands of our Lord Jesus Christ, who rules the world and is head of the church, his body. Amen.

Assurance of Pardon - Ephesians 2:4-7 (NRSV) God, who is rich in mercy,

out of the great love with which he loved us even when we were dead through our trespasses,

made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved— and raised us up with him and seated us with him

in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the ages to come he might show

the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.

King of Kings https://youtu.be/qoscx2Cuwmk

Verse 1 In the darkness we were waiting

Without hope without light Till from Heaven You came running

There was mercy in Your eyes

To fulfill the law and prophets To a virgin came the Word

From a throne of endless glory To a cradle in the dirt

Chorus Praise the Father

Praise the Son Praise the Spirit three in one

God of Glory Majesty

Praise forever to the King of Kings

Verse 2 To reveal the kingdom coming

And to reconcile the lost To redeem the whole creation You did not despise the cross

For even in Your suffering You saw to the other side

Knowing this was our salvation Jesus for our sake You died

Verse 3 And the morning that You rose

All of heaven held its breath Till that stone was moved for good For the Lamb had conquered death

And the dead rose from their tombs And the angels stood in awe

For the souls of all who'd come To the Father are restored

Verse 4 And the Church of Christ was born

Then the Spirit lit the flame Now this Gospel truth of old

Shall not kneel shall not faint

By His blood and in His Name In His freedom I am free

For the love of Jesus Christ Who has resurrected me

What a Beautiful Name Bridge

Death could not hold You The veil tore before You You silence the boast of sin and grave

The heavens are roaring The praise of Your gloryFor You are raised to life again

You have no rival You have no equal Now and forever God You reign

Yours is the kingdom Yours is the glory Yours is the Name above all names

Chorus 3

What a powerful Name it is What a powerful Name it is The Name of Jesus Christ my King

What a powerful Name it is Nothing can stand against What a powerful Name it is The Name of Jesus What a powerful Name it is The Name of Jesus What a powerful Name it is The Name of Jesus

Thankful Response - Offering Go to this webpage to give online. https://visaliacrc.churchcenter.com/giving

The offering is a chance for us to express our gratitude to God for the provision He has made for us in Jesus and also for the physical and financial blessings He

has provided us. In giving back a portion of what God has blessed us, we are acknowledging that it was never ours in the first place.

This week’s special offering is for Visalia Rescue Mission: Changing lives in Visalia by providing, 'Hope and Restoration through Jesus Christ.'

Congregational Prayer The following, or other prayers of thanksgiving and intercession may be said. This model

provides helpful phrases for each section of the prayer, allowing those praying to improvise within each section.

Eternal God, we praise you that your glory has dawned on us, and brought us into this Day of Resurrection. We rejoice that the grave could not hold your Son, and that he

has conquered death, risen to rule over all powers of this earth. We thank and praise you for the reflections of his new life

in creation… in nations around the world…

in the ministry of the church universal… in our community…

in our new life in Christ…

To you as the giver of new life and renewed hope we bring our prayers for those who are ill, and those who care for them…

for those who wonder how they will make ends meet, and support those who depend on them…

for those in authority, who are making difficult and profound decisions… for this local church in its ministry…

By your Spirit, lift us from doubt and despair, and set our feet in Christ’s holy way, that our lives may be signs of his life, and all we have may show forth his love.

Because he lives, we look for eternal life, knowing that nothing past, nor present, nor yet to come can separate us from your great love made known in Jesus Christ our

Lord. Amen.

Thankful Response - Yet Not I https://youtu.be/GuMrzO94b6s

Verse 1 What gift of grace is Jesus my redeemer There is no more for heaven now to give

He is my joy my righteousness and freedom My steadfast love my deep and boundless peace

To this I hold my hope is only Jesus For my life is wholly bound to his

Oh how strange and divine I can sing all is mine Yet not I but through Christ in me

Verse 2 The night is dark but I am not forsaken For by my side the Saviour he will stay I labour on in weakness and rejoicing For in my need his power is displayed

To this I hold my Shepherd will defend me Through the deepest valley he will lead

Oh the night has been won and I shall overcome Yet not I but through Christ in me

Page 13: Call to Worship...Assurance of Pardon - Ephesians 2:4-7 (NRSV) God, who is rich in mercy, out of the great love with which he loved us even when we were dead through our trespasses,

Verse 3 No fate I dread I know I am forgiven

The future sure the price it has been paid For Jesus bled and suffered for my pardon And he was raised to overthrow the grave

To this I hold my sin has been defeated Jesus now and ever is my plea

Oh the chains are released I can sing I am free Yet not I but through Christ in me

Verse 4 With every breath I long to follow Jesus

For he has said that he will bring me home And day by day I know he will renew me Until I stand with joy before the throne

To this I hold my hope is only Jesus All the glory evermore to him

When the race is complete still my lips shall repeat Yet not I but through Christ in me

Ending When the race is complete still my lips shall repeat

Yet not I but through Christ in me Yet not I but through Christ in me
