The entry fee is modest compared with what

an organisation might pay in order to motivate

staff members. The motivational effect of

winning a LearnX Award is tremendous value

in terms of the lasting effect it has on morale,

The focus of this award is on a talented instructional designer who, by using instructional techniques, has created online and/or offline learning materials within a learning project and whose creative technical input has had a significant impact on employees’ learning and development.

CRITERIA

PART A 500 words maximum; score out of 10 points

• Give an overview of your (or the entrant’)s instructional-design involvement within the learning project. (4 points)

• Demonstrate how your (or the entrant’s) instructional talent has had a significant impact on the learning project and on employees’ engagement. (6 points)

• Demonstrate how your (or the entrant’s) instructional-design work has led the organisation and employees to better accept the learning project overall. (6 points)

• Show there was capacity to adopt new technologies and innovations to have an impact on employees’ learning. (4 points)

Learning Manager# 1401

The focus of this award is on a talented individual who’s managed a learning department or a learning organisation and who’s had a significant impact on workforce performance by way of following best practice, increasing employees’ skill sets and empowering employees.

You may enter a team from one or more organisations.The focus of this award is on three or more highly talented team members who’ve managed a learning project and had a significant impact on workforce performance, increased employees’ skill sets and empowered employees.

• Give an overview of the learning team’s involvement in the organisation. (4 points)

• Demonstrate how the team has had a significant impact on staff development, including gains in employees’ skill sets and overall effectiveness of organisational learning. (6 points)

• Demonstrate how the team and learning project/s have had an impact on workforce performance. (6 points)

You may enter multiple departments or organisations involved, whether they’re internal and/or external. The focus of this award is on a learning-project partnership that’s had a significant impact on employees’ learning and development.

CRITERIA

• Give an overview of the learning partnership in the context of the business, and identify the relationship strategy. Why was an organisational-learning partnership required? (4 points)

• Demonstrate employees’ performance and the challenges they faced before the partnership and learning project were rolled out. (6 points)

• Demonstrate how the aim of the learning partnership was to have a significant impact on employees’ and organisational performance, what the project’s targets were and the methods planned for measuring the targets. (6 points)

WHO CAN ENTER?

The awards are open to any individual, team or organisation operating in an Asia–Pacific country and who have implemented or released a learning solution from January 2012. Entries that are implemented or released outside this timeframe won’t be considered. A ‘team’ is defined as being any group that’s come together for the specific purpose of undertaking and completing a project. The team members can be from within one organisation or can have come together from multiple organisations.

ENTRY OPTIONS

You can enter one or multiple awards. You can use the same program or solution in order to enter various award categories as long as you meet the specified criteria.

ENTRY SUBMISSION

You can enter the awards by using the Word-template documents provided at www.learnx.net. Alternatively, you can create your own template or PDF and follow the criteria that are set for each award. Please include any links and/or additional back-up documentation with your entry.

INVESTMENT

Award entry costs $125 (GST inclusive), and you must submit payment and have it cleared by the deadline date in order for the judging panel to consider your entry.

Multiple award entries are acceptable, and a separate fee is applicable for each award entry. Payment, by way of credit card, money order or cheque, is to be made out to the LearnX Foundation. An additional fee of $125, GST inclusive, is applicable if you wish to attend the awards presentation.

JUDGING

The judges’ decision will be final, and no correspondence will be entered into either before or after the judging. The quality of the LearnX Impact Awards is such that you may need to include confidential information as part of your entry. The LearnX Foundation guarantees that this information will be restricted to the LearnX Impact Award judges and remain strictly confidential. All submitted materials will be deleted and/or destroyed after the judging process.

AWARDS ACCEPTANCE

Winning entrants are obliged to have a senior delegate attend the awards presentation to accept the award. Failure to attend the awards presentation might entail withdrawal of the award.

RETURN OF ENTRIES

Entries and other accompanying material won’t be returned, but each entry will be acknowledged, via e-mail or phone, as having been received.
