DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES IN LANGUAGE EDUCATION NUCB Graduate School, Nagoya, Japan, Friday February 20th, 2009

The call for papers for the Third International Wireless Ready Symposiumin Nagoya, Japan, is now open.

Proposals are encouraged on a number of different aspects of digital technologies affecting language education and research, including for example:

- Web 2.0 technologies in the classroom- e-learning and collaborative learning- Web-based learning- wireless learning environments- computer assisted language learning- virtual and personalized learning environments- Interactive Whiteboard technologies- Social networking software and tools- Emerging technologies- Teacher professional development and digital technologies

- Corpora and language learning technologies- Mobile learning- HCI and language education- Digital literacies- Open and distance learning technologies- Telecollaboration- other categories relating to the conference theme

Proposals will be accepted in the following categories: papers (20 or 30 minutes); poster sessions; and show and tell (20 minutes).

Abstracts of no more than 250 words should be sent by December 20th to the conference organizer, Michael Thomas, at the following e-mail address: <michael.thomas@nucba.ac.jp>
