  • Access Door For Pump Room

    Introduction

    The Access Door consists of 2 steel plates 10 mm. thickness each one

    connected to the concrete floor by 3 pivots and rest on 2 movable steel

    beams resting on 2 rack plates.

    Finite element method (Sap 2000 program) was used to analyze the

    Access Door For Pump Room and beams and check the stesses and forces

    in racking plates.

    Proposed live load 4.0 kN/m2 is considered. Flooring taking 2.0 k/N/m2 .

    For yield stress of steel plate and steel beams (Fy= 275 N/mm2),

    and tensile stress (Fu=420 N/mm2).
