The product range

CaberboardCaberboard is available in two grades: one for construction (Caberboard P1) and one for furniture (Caberboard P2).Moisture-resistant versions are also available, as Caberboard P3and Caberboard P5 respectively. These two panels provide the ideal material for a wide range of applications including permanent formwork, living room and bedroom furniture, kitchen worktopsand kitchen and bathroom furniture.

CaberformCaberform is a moisture-resistant (P3) particleboard which is designed for the construction of temporary professional concrete formwork. The board is coated on either one or both sides with a special UV acrylic varnish to produce a very even surface which provides a particularly high standard of finish.

CaberfloorCaberfloor has been specially designed for quick, trouble-freefloor construction in the housebuilding sector, providing anexcellent base for different types of flooring. Caberfloor isavailable in a moisture-resistant version (P5) for use in dryand humid environments such as bathrooms.

Installing Caberfloor

Tongue and groove panels Tongue and groove panels are laid across the joists with the short edge resting along the centre of the joist. We recommend that joints are bonded with a moisture-resistant adhesive.

Square-edged panelsSquare-edged panels are laid along the joists with the long edge at the centre of the joist and noggins under the short edge. The panels are secured every 20-30 cm along all contact surfaces using chipboard screws which are at least 2.5 times as long as the panel thickness.

N.B. Depending on the load, the 18 mm board is suitable for joists which are a maximum of 45 cm apart and the 22 mm is suitable for joists which are a maximum of 60 cm apart.

Storage and assembly tips

Joints

An allowance must be made for expansion or contraction due to an increase or decrease in moisture in the atmosphere. Users should therefore leave a 2 mm gap per linear metre between the floor and wall, with a minimum of 10 mm. Storage

Particleboard panels should preferably be stored flat in a dry, sheltered place and in stacks of 8 panels, separated by 15 cm wide bearers spaced an equal distance apart (70-100 cm). If the panels are stored outdoors (not recommended), they must be stacked on a level base and protected with a waterproof tarpaulin or similar covering.
