Time before

start

2. Turn on Rack / Desktop PC

3. Turn On DocCam

4. Manage student seating arrangements

1. Get seated

2. Plug in power

3. Power up Laptop

20 minutes 1. Display Online Midterm Instructions

(provided by LS) on Doc Cam on 1st

projector screen

2. Display Connect COMM290 Course on 2nd

projector screen, access using

[username/password] and displaying

“Midterm Exam” link from Left Hand Panel

3. Instruct students on logging into UBC

Secure, connect, COMM290 course

1. Log into UBC Secure.

2. Log into connect.ubc.ca.

3. Log into COMM290 course in Connect

4. Click on Midterm Exam link on left

hand panel

5.

10 minutes 1. Click on “Midterm Exam Folder” in Connect

/ Midterm Exam

2. Distribute Sign-in Sheets as necessary

1. Click on “Midterm Exam” folder

2. Click on “Midterm Exam

3. Sign sign – in sheets

Exam start time 1. Display Password in staggered release on

DocCam (e.g. SWNG121=5:00, 122=5:01,

221=5:03, etc. ) coordinated by Learning

Service Director

1. Click on “Begin” exam

2. Enter Password
