Hyphens are used to divide a word between syllables at the end of a line.

They are also used in compound numbers from twenty-one to ninety-nine.

ex: My sister is twenty two and makes bad mis takes.

Fill in the hyphens.

Dashes and hyphens are commonly confused. Just remember that a hyphen is shorter than a dash.

To make a dash on the computer, type in two hyphens right next to each other and continue typing. There should be no space between the dash and the following word. The computer will automatically change the two hyphens to a dash.
