TRACKS1.0 System designed to utilize C, Low Pro,T or Anti-tip tracks based on wheel selection.
1.1 Shims are provided, as appropriate, forproper leveling to ensure smooth operation.
1.2 Tracks may be secured to the floor withrawl type anchors or double-sided tape.
1.3 All track sections are designed with atongue and groove lap connection betweeneach rail joint. This provides a superiorconnection and proper alignment for smoothcarriage movement.
RAISED FLOOR DECKING(WHEN APPLICABLE)2.0 Decking to be constructed of 3/4" highdensity cabinet grade plywood. Flameretardant decking is an option.
2.1 Decking shall support a minimum of 250lbs. per sq. ft.
2.2 Decking to be installed flush and tight tothe track.
2.3 Decking to be installed in a manner thatwill prevent warping, deformation andmovement during normal use and operation.
2.4 Decking may be finished with floorcovering as specified by end user.
RAMPS3.0 Beveled ramp grade shall be ADAcompliant.
3.1 Ramps constructed of 3/4" plywood in14", 18", or 24" width as determined bycarriage length.
CARRIAGES4.0 All carriages are of 3" high welded steelconstruction; carriage side members consist of12 gauge welded steel and are capable ofsupporting 1000 lbs. per lineal carriage foot.
4.1 Carriage cross members are 12 gauge11/2" x 3" welded “U” shaped steel channels.
4.2 Optional fixed carriages shall be of thesame construction and height as movablecarriages and shall be anchored to the floorfor a complete, homogeneous system.
4.3 Carriage design allows shelving to besecurely anchored to the top surface of allcarriages.
WHEELS5.0 All wheels to be a minimum of 31/4" indiameter, double flanged, precision ground,balanced and constructed from solid steel forsmooth operation.
5.1 A minimum of four wheels is requiredper movable carriage.
END PANELS6.0 All optional end panels are to be the fullheight and depth of the shelving ends.
6.1 Melamine or high pressure laminatecovered end panels to be 3/4" in thickness.
6.2 Optional laminates are available uponcustomer request.
6.3 Shelving closed end panels may be usedas finished product.
ATTACHMENT OF SHELVING7.0 Carriage construction shall be designedto allow numerous shelving designs to besecurely anchored to the carriages. Shelvingshall be secured to the carriages with specialtek screws provided.
QUALITY CONTROL8.0 Systems are checked at the factory toensure high quality and uninterrupted fieldinstallation.
INSTALLATION STANDARDS9.0 All parts and fasteners are provided toensure proper and safe installation.
9.1 All mobile systems are to be installed bytrained technicians.
CLEAN UP & DOCUMENTATION10.0 All debris and excess materials resultingfrom installation shall be removed and theconstruction area left in a broom cleancondition.

5.2 A minimum of four guide wheels isrequired per movable carriage.
DRIVE SYSTEM6.0 All mobile carriages shall be fitted withfull length drive shafts.
6.1 All drive shafts shall be a minimum of11/8" hollow steel and connect all wheels ondrive side of carriage. All axles shall be solidsteel and support the full load of the carriage.
6.2 Complete drive shaft/axle and wheelassemblies shall be secured by means of amechanically retained coupling methodeliminating any loose connections betweenshafts and axles and shall exhibit no play orlooseness through the length of carriage.
6.3 The mechanical assist handle shall be ofergonomic design. The transfer of powerfrom the handle to the drive shaft shall bedirect drive and chain driven.
6.4 All mechanical assist systems are to bemoved by means of a chain and sprocketreduction drive system.
6.5 Mechanical assist tower attaching pointsshall be created using a CAM/CNC methodto provide precise alignment for attachmentto the carriage.
6.6 Dual control options are available foroperation of mobile carriages from either orboth ends.
6.7 All mechanical assist systems areequipped with a push-pull safety parkingbrake as a standard feature.
DRIVE EFFORT7.0 Gear ratio to be determined by carriagelength and weight; factory calculates correctdrive effort for each system consideringlength, weight loads and number of carriagesto be moved.
7.1 There is no "play" in the drive handleand the carriage will stop without driftingwhen operation of the actuator is terminatedon all leveled systems.
END PANELS8.0 All optional end panels are to be fullheight and depth of the shelving ends pluscarriage height.
8.1 Melamine or high-pressure laminatecovered end panels to be 3/4" in thickness.

9.1 Carriage end stops will be provided forsystems without stationary units.
9.2 A safety spacing is provided between endpanels through the use of 1" carriagebumpers; protects fingers of those using thesystem and provides a positive stop for allcarriages.
