BX2001 features a double offset disc whichcreates an eccentric seating action. This actioneliminates seat wear, reduces opening torquewhen seat is upstream and allows disc to “cam”into seat for tight shutoff.
PFA Teflon®/Viton A energized seat providespositive, bidirectional shutoff with long cycle lifeon low pressure and vacuum, and high ∆Pservices. (See page 5 for more informationabout seating.)
World Class Valve Performance• All castings meet rigid ASTM
standards.• All BX2001 valves comply with ANSI
B16.34, ANSI B16.5, ANSI B16.10,MSS SP68, MSS SP61, API 598, API607, API 609, and ISO 5752.
• All PFA Teflon® seated valves andoptional UHMWPE seated valves aretested in accordance with ANSI B16.34 and MSS SP61. No through orexternal leaks are allowed, therebyexceeding the shutoff requirementsof ANSI/FCI 70-2 for all classes.
• All TriFlex metal seated valves aretested to ANSI/FCI 70-2 Class VIleakage rates.
• All valves available in ANSI Class 150DIN PN 16 or DIN PN 20 drilling.
Unique, high strength Gibb pin positively locksvalve shaft to the disc. Gibb pin is used on 2 in(50 mm) through 12 in (300 mm) sizes.

Shaft packingand gaskets are made of Grafoil® toprevent both through and externalleaking. Shaft packing performance isenhanced by the Durco rocker armadjuster.Note: The use of lug body style is recommendedfor fire sealed valves.
UHMWPE SeatsFor Abrasive Services
BX valves with ultra high molecularweight polyethylene (UHMWPE) seats will provide long-lasting performance in erosive/abrasive services while alsooffering limited corrosion resistance.UHMWPE seats are rated for services to 200°F (93°C).

This ultimate protection packagefeatures compression springs whichkeep constant preload on the doublePTFE cup and cone stem packing.Lantern ring allows use of leakdetection and monitoring devices with optional 1/8 in (3 mm) NPTconnections. flanges. All styles of metallic
flanges are permissible if
clearance is provided for the
swing of the disc. Install the
valve with the disc in the
closed position. Valve
should be centered between
flanges in order that the disc
does not hit the flange/pipe
when the valve is opened.
