Bunny breakfast egg cosy

Are you a fan of a boiled egg and soldiers for breakfast or tea? If so this bunny egg cosy will keep your egg toasty. Perfect to decorate your Easter breakfast table or make as a gift. Supplies: 30cm x 30cm wool felt, small buttons, embroidery thread & ribbon. Fabric version also requires a small piece of quilters wadding and bias cut strip of fabric or ready made bias binding. Measurements: 16cm tall by 9cm wide when made in fabric. How to felt: 1 Using the template provided, trace the egg cosy bunny template. I use greaseproof paper. 2 Place a square of felt in front of you, fold in half. Place the bunny template in the centre and pin .

3 Cut out the bunny shape carefully. 4 Unpin the template and place the 2 pieces of fabric in front of you. Decorate the right sides of the bunny with embroidery and buttons. Or how ever you wish to decorate the bunny. 5 Place right sides together and pin. Stitch together with a ¼ inch seam allowance. 6 Turn right side out and add press with an iron

gently. Finally stitch on a small pompom as a tail and your bunny is ready for action!

wadding to the wrong side of the fabric. This will mean you have the wadding on the outside of both pieces, sandwiching the fabric.

6 Turn right side out and add press with an iron gently. Pin on the bias binding to the bottom edge of your egg cosy, right sides together. Stitch all around to attach the bias with a ¼ inch seam, overlapping at the join. Turn the bias edging around to the inside of the egg cosy, slip stitch the bias by hand. Finally stitch on a small pompom as a tail and your bunny is ready for action!
