- Goal: To find the missing addend to make a ten.
- Directions:

- Can play as a partner or individual game.

- Place ten frame cards down.

- Turn one over at a time.
-
- Place counters in the empty spaces to make a ten.

- Students record their answers.
6. Go Fish
- Goal:To have the most pairs of ten at the end of the game.

- Take face and 10 cards out of the pile
-
- Directions:
-
- Group of 2 4 students.
-
- Each student receives 4 cards to begin with.
-
- Starting with one of the players, they choose one of their cards and ask another player if they have the other part to make a ten.
-
- If they get a pair, they place it aside, if not, they choose 2 more cards and continue to play.
-
- Continue to play until a player doesnt have anymore cards or the card pile is gone.
7. Ten Frame Challenge
- Goal: To have the most pairs of ten at the end of the game.

- Take face and 10s out of the pile
- Directions:
-
- Each student places a set of ten-frame cards face down.
-
- At the same time, they turn the top card over and the first one to say the other part to make a ten, wins that round and gets both cards.
8. 1, 2, 3 Land on Ten
- Goal:Use the digits 1, 2 or 3 to be the person to say 10.
- Directions:
-
- You can only use the three digits 1, 2, or 3
-
- You can only use one of the digits each turn
-
- Each turn you add to your previous number to get the final sum of ten.
-
- The person who lands on 10 first, wins!!
9. 12 Card Draw
- Goal:
- Be the player who has the most combinations of ten
- Directions:
-
- Use a deck of cards. Take all the10s and face cards out.
-
- Place 12 cards face up and the rest face down.
-

- I usually place the cards in three rows with 4 cards in each row.
-
-
- Each player takes turn taking the top card from the pile and tries to match it to one or more cards face up to make a ten.
-
- The player with the most matches at the end, wins!!!
10. Pyramid Math
- 1. Place cards in a pyramid starting with 1 card and finishing the bottom row with 5 cards.
- 2. Create bonds of 10 by adding cards together.
- 3. When bonds of 10 can not be made, fill in the missing spots with additional cards.
- 4. Play until there are no more available moves.

- Modify the game by making bonds of different numbers.
