Building Bridges through KTPs
• Industrial aims are: -– to have a product for release this year in September 2009– Academic knowledge in CFD and modelling techniques
• School aims are: -– Commercial income– Knowledge acquisition & industrial case studies
Achievments to date:-
• KTA is our own graduate – ‘employability’;
• 5 Students industrial project in 2008;
• PhD student involvement – anti-condensation and drying issues;
• Staff engagement in the business facing activity.
Future expectations:
• Building a drying centre – energy saving and sustainably;
• MEng group projects.
Building Bridges
• FAQEC – between the centre, Faculties and the Faculty, and within the Faculty;– FLTEG – sharing of experience – knowledge
transfer internally & externally, innovation and colloboration;
• DAG & SBUs– Strategic and tactical timing issues.
• Developmental facets:– FACO: outputs should lead to enhancements
in the ‘design of assessments’ as well as ‘education of our new students”;
– Programme Tutors - AMER Authors;– Chair to Programme Development
Committees;– Establish a reliable network of Alumni for
review of the programmes.
