BTEC Level 3 in Music and Music Technology Pathway 3
Course description: The Edexcel BTEC Level 3 in Music and Music Technology will enable students who have completed the Level 2 BTEC Certificate qualification to develop their skills and understanding further within a vocational qualification system. With the availability of discreet courses in Music (Performance), Music Technology (Production) and Music Technology (Event Management) the course will be tailored to the needs and skills of the students continuing their studies in music within the school.
Qualifications required:
In line with the entry requirements for a Pathway 3 subject. GCSE Music – Grade C or above. BTEC Level 2 Music – Merit or above.
Aims of the course:
To develop skills in music performance, production or event management. Teaching of pre and post production music skills within an industry based setting.
Future prospects:
Degree and FE courses in Music Technology, Film Music or Studio work. Careers in the music industry, recording industry, theatre and television.
