BUSINESS EXECUTIVE COACHING FOR ORGANISATIONAL EXCELLENCE
Value PropositionWith a strong focus on practical coaching our Business Executive Coaching for Organisational Excellence programme provides the necessary skills for participants to operate as professional business coaches. This programme is designed on the framework developed by Graduate School Alliance of Executive Coaching (GSAEC) and WBS is the first university outside of the United States to be admitted as a member of this body.
Target AudienceBusiness leaders and executives who want to establish an in house coaching programme and/or act as an internal coach, providing professional business and executive coaching to their employees.
Programme Duration and StructureThe programme is modular in nature, comprising five modules spread over a six-month period. Each module begins on a Wednesday evening, runs through Thursday, Friday and a Saturday, constituting 140 hours of classroom content. Twenty hours of coaching practical take place between the modules
Programme LevelThis programme is presented at the equivalent of NQF level 7.
Programme CertificationThis programme is offered as a competence programme and is assessed through practical and written examinations, individual and group assignments and a practical coaching component. A certificate of competence is awarded on successful completion of the programme.

Programme Content
Theory and Knowledge AreasThis module focuses on an understanding of coaching theories and principles, group and inter-group dynamics, interpersonal dynamics and communication as well as social systems and dynamics.
Business AcumenAs a coach, it is vital to understand the business environment and areas such as human resources management, principles of accounting and finance, strategic management, corporate governance and business ethics are discussed.
Coaching SkillsThis module gives coaches an understanding of coaching skills required in the areas of observation, assessment, selection and intervention design as well as when to use appropriate referral skills.
Professional Practice and SupervisionThis module develops a clear understanding of the frameworks for coaching on a professional level using research methods and tools, including ethics and the standards of practice.
Coaching ProcessThe process of coaching in which various skills, tools and interventions are used is the focus of this area of study; specifically entry contracting, assessment and feedback, goal setting or planning, facilitating change and development, outcome evaluation, terminating and long-term planning.

coaching practice and provide professional business and executive coaching to corporates and organisations
• Understand the knowledge base that underpins coaching, develop practical coaching skills and understand the business environment and context in which executive coaching operates
