Record 10 seconds each

WALLDO• Select the best 3-5 seconds from each of the WALLDO & edit
• Add the interview shot at the end
• Leave in the natural sound or replace with royalty-free music.
• Add titles: Wide, Angled, Low, Linking, Depth, Opposite
• Add the interview rule of thirds shot with “say your name and spell it.
• Export the video into a movie file and watch to review.
Natural Sound
NAT Sound1. Create Google Doc
2. Each student should write down one area or location
3. Make a list of the possible sounds associated with that area.
4. Divide and conquer the list by capturing :20-:30 of NAT sounds at each location, of AT LEAST TWO natural sounds
5. Return to the class, play back the NAT sounds and discuss• Get the audience’s attention• Sprinkled throughout the story as transitions, punctuation, or
attention-getter’s• Bring closure to the story
*Note: ONLY use the on-camera microphoneThis will force/encourage students to get CLOSE to the sounds as they are recording.

LightStudents create a shot sheet for these five locations
1. Classroom (fluorescent lights) 2. Inside school using windows (natural light from outside) 3. Indoor room with lamps 4. Outside on a sunny day 5. Outside on an overcast day
For each location:
1. Practice recording action shots at WIDE, MEDIUM and TIGHT distances
2. Capture natural sounds

InterviewStudents partner up and practice: • Composing the shot as instructed by the videos• Camera OTS (over the shoulder) of the reporter• “Coaching” their partner a• CUs & alternate angles during the conversation• “Tell me…”
Editing
