MESSAGE FROM PRESIDENT RONDILEAU September 18, 1967

The decade ahead promises to be an exciting as well as challenging period for allof us connected with Bridgewater State College. It is a decade in which the role of ourcollege as a multi-purpose institution of higher learning will be fulfilled.

Bridgewater believes in high quality education and it believes in education of thewhole person. A well educated person is interested in both sports and ideas - bothscience and the arts, both his community and his college. He has good sense in takingcare of himself mentally, morally and physically. He is generous and cooperative incontributing to the welfare of the members of the team and his fellow students. He is a good student, a goud professional person, a good family man or woman and agood all round citizen.

For this reason we have already embarked on a major program to prOVide the additional facilities necessary to carryon our Health and Physical Education programs. All of us in the College Community are watching as our wide expanse of land on GreatHill is developed for dormitories, parking accommodations, and in the years ahead forphysical education facilities.

We take great pride in the anticipated growth of our Health and Physical EducationDepartment as we do in the quality and expansion of every other department of thecollege. We are confident that the future will bring an even higher level of excellence.
