As the Brands of Tomorrow programme enters its 10th year, it continues to mature and grow. We had our toughest selectiondays yet choosing the 2017 Brands of Tomorrow. The skill,enterprise and ambition of young entrepreneurs desperateto create great British luxury brands shines through in ourchosen 12. We have a varied and eclectic group ranging fromthe more traditional fashion and accessories business to amaker of beautiful board games; from caviar production to the provision of chauffeur services.

Walpole’s role, supported so well by Mishcon de Reya andSloane Point Partners, is now to help nurture and develop thistalent and I am confident our programme of coaching andmentoring will provide an inspiring environment in which thebrands can develop.

I look forward to getting to know the brands better and seeingthem grow.

Celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, Walpole’sBrands of Tomorrow programme develops and nurtures thenext generation of British luxury companies. This prestigiousprogramme pairs up-and-coming brands with high-profile luxuryindustry insiders who mentor and support the participantsthrough a year of workshops and coaching. With the supportof its membership of over 180 luxury brands, Mishcon de Reyaand Sloane Point Partners, Walpole is helping to ensure thefuture of the British luxury industry – an industry currentlyworth £32.2 billion to the UK economy.

PROGR AMME CRITERIA

In order to be eligible for the Brands of Tomorrow programme,selected companies need to exemplify the highest standards ofquality, style and craftsmanship and aspire to develop into fullWalpole members. The key criteria includes:

• Annual turnover of more than £100,000 but no more than £4 million

• An entrepreneurial management style

• A clear vision of the future of the brand

• Commitment to a two-way partnership in the programme, which will include active participation and regular constructive feedback with the Walpole mentors

Camilla’s designs are defined bya feminine-yet-playful aesthetic and focus on premium,ethically sourced materials and bespoke prints. Set up in 2012, Exmoor Caviar is the UK’s first and onlycaviar producing farm. Having been trading in caviar bothin a retail and wholesale capacity for years prior to this,founder Kenneth Benning saw an opportunity to create a truly unique caviar that would rival any fine caviar fromthe continent. Based in North Devon at the foothills ofthe Exmoor National Park, the farm uses naturallyfiltered spring water to raise its sturgeon.
