This new gas sweetening plant – to remove hydrogen sulphide from westof Shetland gas – will better serve existing assets and is scheduled for completion in 2017.

2013 Valhall and Skarv begin productionWhen Valhall and the Skarv FPSO started up they became the first of the new generation oil fields, which integrate BP’s Field of the Future® digital technologies from the beginning of development. The digital techniques used deliver significant benefits in operating efficiency and recovery. Valhall is so sophisticated that its wells are controlled from onshore.

It was one of the most challenging offshore projects BP has undertaken in the North Sea.

2013 Magnus life extension project begins Magnus is the first platform to benefit from BP’s North Sea renewal programme, designed to extend the life of our mature assets, while improving reliability and creating capacity for production-related activities.
