Making Generalizations

It may include words like always or most.

Always should rarely be used to state a fact but it is fine for a generalization.

Most is a good word to use because it implies that some people do not apply to the statement.

It is based on fact or good reason.

Thousands of children eat candy every day. Teachers have to be able to teach students to read so they must be good at it too.

It is a statement that is usually true.

Most children like to eat candy. Teachers are always good readers.

Extreme Partner Reading
