At Taylor’s University, we believe in providing the best exposure to our students in order to educate them to take their productive place as leaders in the globalcommunity. In order to achieve this, we continuously ensure that the facilities and programmes offered here are able to meet the needs of the 21st century learner andprovide them with the tools they need to be leaders of their own right. Initiatives such as the Taylor’s Graduate Capabilities and the 2nd Transcript or the SHINE Award Programme were introduced as part of our pedagogy as platforms that will enable our students to fine-tune their soft skills and enhance their leadership qualities. sdfsdfsdfs

In addition to increasing the soft-skill aptitude of our students, we aim to provide our students with outstanding teaching and cutting edge learning facilities. All this is done with one objective: to produce successful graduates who are first choice for leading employers. We also help our students to graduate with the ambition andentrepreneurial skills to establish their own successful businesses. It is our aspiration that through this initiative, our student will be able to become more impactful in their capabilities and be able to meet the challenges and demands of the working environment on completion of their degree. Congratulations to the SHINE Ambassadorsfor bringing together a distinguished panel of speakers that will definitely providevaluable insight to all the students. sdfsdfsdfsdfsdfsdfsdfsdffsafasdfasfasfsfasfasfa

Taylor’s University recognises the competitiveness in the marketplace and identifyingthe need to produce highly employable graduates. The SHINE Award Programme was established to support the development of our students in the following four areas; Personal Development, People and Leadership, Professional Development and Global Engagement. Developing our students in these four areas will provide them with the essentials needed in demonstrating the right attitude, effective people skills and the abilities to adapt to a diverse culture. jahdhajkshdkjhjhskldhjhdkhkjhkjldhkhjhkhkhkkhklhklkh

The SHINE Award Programme through events such as the iLEAD Conferences and SHINE Distinguished Speaker Series was designed to feature inspiring, thought provoking, experienced and dynamic leaders of the world to motivate and encourage our students, in guiding them to realise their full potential as effective leaders and citizens of the world. It is also vital that they understand the responsibility and power to make a difference is all within them. sdfiuasfdhuasdfasdfasfdasdfasfdsadfjvsahdfvavdfgahsgdfag

Through various platforms and opportunities within the university, students are able to equip themselves with leadership roles, simulating corporate organisations. Through the roles they assume, they will be able to create a vision, inspire and influence a team under their purview and contribute significant changes towards the community. Multiple avenues will also be provided for our students to work with teams and people from various backgrounds and nationalities. kjsnjdkfjksfkhajsdhfjkhaskdfhjkashdfjkhaskjdhfjkahsk

Mr Janaronson Nagarajah,Associate Director, Student Development

This year, in lieu of Taylor’s holistic education vision, we have introduced brand new Life Skills modules that launch students into their degree equipped with the four key skillsets of emotional intelligence: self-awareness; self-management; social awareness, and relationship management. These skillsets are predicted by World Economic Forum to be some of the most demanded skillset by 2020 for all job seekers and is desired in the age of Industrial Revolution 4.0. These modules will take all First Year and First Semester Undergraduates through a transformative learning journey in which they develop a tool-kit of the most essential soft skills; skills that will help them manage and navigate the VUCA (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex and Ambiguous) world of today. The mandate is simple: we want our students to get ahead and stay ahead. Essentially, upon completion, students will then be given the opportunity to join the award winning SHINE Award Programme which has seen many impacted by it. It is a powerful self-directed and flexible experiential learning journey that helps you make the most of your time at university and is geared to prepare you for the challenges ahead in achieving your dream while unlocking your potential! You will have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others, take onleadership roles which positions you to be influential, be immersed in global experiences, network with top employers with your unique personal brand and so much more. All your involvements will be formally recognized through the 2nd Transcript which complements your academic transcript. This will set you apart and place you to be a highly coveted fresh graduate by Top Employers. asdssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss

iLEAD Conference being the 6th installation this year is a component of the SHINE Award Programme, developed with the aim of equipping all students with the right foundation and knowledge, application techniques and skills to prepare them with all aspects of leadership skills, in hopes of preparing them with the task of becoming effective leaders. The 8th SHINE Distinguished Speaker Series, another key component will expose you to opportunities to engage and learn about global trends, issues and community. Our world is getting more interconnected as we move into Industrial Revolution 4.0. Understanding global issues will be essential in developing global perspectives that can give you an advantage. Make use of this opportunity to widen your network of friends by identifying and leveraging on each other’s strengths and helping each other learn every day and, in every way. I would like to take this opportunity to convey my sincere appreciation to the SHINE Ambassadors who have given their time and commitment in making today a success. Also to my colleague Ms Laveenia Theertha Pathy from Student Organisation Services and Ms Tasha Thamalagha P Krishnasamy from the SHINE Award Programme who have both been instrumental in this value adding event. To all students, the world is full of exciting opportunities for you to develop and realise your full potential. Carpe Diem!sssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss

Indrani Kopal

I'm an online video journalist turned lmmaker, and with a great curiosity about the lives of others, I have interviewed many ordinary people who shared some real extraordinary stories with me over the six years of my stint at Malaysiakini, a prestigious online news organization in Malaysia. At some point in my former career I learned that there is no such thing as being objective. Honestly, when you point a camera, you’re making a statement. When you make an edit, that’s a statement as well. I believe we all have our own personal biasesddddddddddddd

During those years, I have travelled to “othered places” in the name of “righteous mission”, and by capturing the social contrast and highlighting the ‘dierent’ images of the poor and marginalized, I sincerely hoped it would help to bring about social change. My naiveté surprises me at times. Was I aware of my respon-sibility of taking the images of other people and expose them without under-standing their real story? I really can’t answer that. At the end the road, I grew more interested in telling nuances of someone’s life rather than ‘mining’ images to report them for the consumption of image-hungry-far distant-cosmopolitan-oth-ers. At the height of career, I decided to pursue a journey where my heart felt more at home – with documentary storytelling. asdddddddddddddddddddddd

Perhaps it was that very awareness that allowed me to employ various lmmak-ing methodologies in collaboration with characters in all my lms today. The aproach that I found works best is when allow my characters to tell their own story and become an integral part of creating their stories on lm. ddddddddddd

She is also working on an idea for a novel, which she imagines to be adaptedas a movie. Apart from that, she nds writing about herself in third-personmakes her sound more credible. All jokes aside, she really hopes that you wouldtell your friends about Midnight Monologues if her words resonated with you inany way. She thanks you for taking your time to read her writings, and wants you to know that she loves you, even though she has not met you yet. asdddddddddd

A travelling comic as well Kavin has performed in Singapore, India, Hong Kong, Australia, United Kingdom just to name a few!

Kavin Jay is politically incorrect, intense and shows a warped sense of love, life and liver. Being Malaysian Indian, Kavin Jay has lived life with a severe disability and was always destined to be angry and easily irritated. He was voted Malaysia's grumpiest comedian because he complains about everything so that you don’t have to. You're welcome! ssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss

The aproach that I found works best is when allow my characters to tell their own story and become an integral part of creating their stories on lm. ddddddddddd
