I just wanted to take this moment to wish all of my scholars and their families a very happy holiday. I’m very thankful that Mrs. Egan gave me the opportunity to come and work at Healthy Learning Academy, and that I have Mrs. Borganelli and a wonderful staff to work with. Mostly, however, I’m thankful for my students, who work hard and keep me entertained, as well as their parents, who trust me and have shown me a tremendous amount of support. I hope that all of you take this upcoming week to spend quality time with one another, have fun, and appreciate all the little things that make life so worthwhile. My best to all of you!

The Week In Review Miscellaneous

SS: We just tested on Ch. 1, and will now be learning about the Age of Exploration. A project will come home soon! ELA: This week, we covered story elements, adverbs, and the prefixes, “super-” and “sur-.”Math: Students just tested on division, and, overall, did a very nice job! Next up, Ch. 4: Dividing by Two-Digit Divisors!Science: We’re finishing up our studies on body systems, and will be testing very soon after the break. RemindersStudents have a Body Systems project due for me on Monday, 12/3. A detailed assignment sheet and rubric was sent home over a month ago. Please be aware that there is a group and individual grade. I’ve given time to work in class, but students may need to work with their partners outside of school.

PI Night for Mental Wellness is Thursday, 11/29. As of now, I only have one volunteer to help cook. Email me if you’re available!

Students should neatly write each of the following words with large, legible print on the index cards sent home today. In addition, they need to mark all their words before class on Monday, November 26.
