DESCRIPTION

The working's of the math in the I Ching 'The Chinese Book of Changes'. Giving details of The River Maps and the Image's of heaven and Earth (Trigrams), which function through the magic Squares of 'The Well', Bagua and Lo Shu. The Image's of Heaven and Earth give an order to odd and even numbers and the Images are of 3 numbers in additions = 6s and multiplications = 7s from 40 light and 40 dark numbers in the 9 x 9 Magic Square, which gives the Ho Tu and the full construction of the Lo Shu (the 8 Spoke Wheel. With the wrk of Lee Burton this math has been found to relate to a correct winding of the Torus, so it applies to modern physics and electronics from the most ancient of sources. The work gives a base to the 8 x 8 Squares of Hexagrams in the 5 Directions or Elements, which in turn give the values found in ancient cultures such as the Mayan Calendar, and the Sumerian Sars, also related to KIng Lists. The is Book 2 of 3 Books that make up a wrk called 'The Divine Revelations - The Judgement's and Law's of the Sacred Mountain.'

Introduction to ‘The Book of Creation’.

A movement is accomplished in six stages and the seventh bringsReturn.

Going out and coming in without error.Friends come without blame. To and fro goes the way.

On the seventh day comes Return and this is the course of Heaven.

In the beginning the light stood alone and apart from thegreat dark waters, all was still and empty of conception orperception - all was closed or bound-up without form or dimension, sono-thing swam or moved in the deep dark waters of the void. Then thelight penetrated the great dark waters moving and dividing them, andin division there was perceived to be 2. One which was called thefirst man, the other the first woman, and from their union all thingscame forth. But, that which had stood before the beginning stoodalone as the 'One' who perceived that there was movement in thedivision of the waters; in this it perceived there were 3. In thedivision there was the upper and lower, but it was the lower orlesser that was again divided into duality. In the doubling ordivision of the lower from the upper, and then in the division againof the lower there were 6 (the number of the great dark - thewaters): As in division, out of the dark there came forth the lightas the 3 places within were reflected in the 3 places without.

In the movements of the light (the days) and of the dark(nights) an arch was created in the heavens (firmament); and in thecreation of the arch was made one light to rule the dark (the moonwith a value based on 6), and one light to rule the day (sun whosevalue is the 7th part, and 7 is the number of the young light thatrises when 6 is increased by 1). Out of the movements in thefirmament rose-up a mountain of things, as one stone was placed uponanother (step by step); and all the things were gathered into the oneplace (nothing exists outside the universal body). The mountain rose-up out of the deep dark waters, and over the mountain rose the light(the fire), so the dry was divided from the wet, and the dry wascalled the Earth*. All the creatures of the Earth came forth out ofthe deep waters, they perceived each other in the light, and receivednourishment from the light of Heaven (it fell down to them fromHeaven).

Thus - all things are created in 6 movements or days (6lines), and upon this all things rest (the 7th day of rest). Thenumbers of creation appear in ancient texts associated with 40 daysand nights. As in the story of Moses, the time he spent on themountain to receive the laws corresponds, but his story also hasgreat similarities to other older stories such as that of KingSargon. Entwined around this theme is the construction of the laws ofwisdom, which the Goddesses held (as with the Me, Maat, Dharma, orTao).

The female part was divided into a ‘Queen of Heaven’, and‘Queen of Earth’ or underworld (a duality of winged forms - Cherubim)in order to carryout the divine will. Portrayed is an image of divinebirth of a son/lover, who cast upon the waters of the river of lifein a boat covered in black pitch as a fatherless son, was taken andraised in the temple of the Goddess or the Queen: And the way inwhich these same themes arise, places them as archetypes desiring toattain a balance of male and female, body and mind.

The goddesses, as were Isis and Nephthys, were consortsof the hidden god. They were the duality of opposites that expressedthrough birth all of nature, which appeared to divinely ariseimmaculately out of no-thing. The will of the hidden aspect wasfirstly viewed in the inner workings that appeared in dream. Theinterpretation of meanings of the dream world were a means toprophesy, through which the future events could be seen: And thispractice has also become an important tool in psychology, as thedream reflects subconscious drives and imbalances in the patient thatindeed affect their future.

Jung, who was instrumental in starting the practice ofdream interpretation, had investigated ancient texts of Alchemy inwhich he found symbolic archetypes in the dream world. He travelledaround the world and found that all peoples’ dreams were the same, sohe saw an underlying human consciousness - (see Jung’s CollectiveWorks).

The texts of ‘The Changes’ seem to take this idea furtherthan just humans, as it sees a universal consciousness that stemsdirectly from a hidden source present in the beginning of beginnings, and after all endings. This clarifies Jung’s idea of ‘Synchronicity’to a point where all events are governed by a divine will, and thatall outcomes have already been completed. This takes the flight ofthe opposite aspects of duality out of the realms of chance, placingthem into a set of conditions that occur without error – as naturedoes not make mistakes. These ideas concur with what is now putforward by modern physics, for just as Jung perceived certain aspectsof consciousness could not be explained unless hidden dimensionsexisted, physics also sees possibilities of other dimensionsconcealed or bound-up within matter. Time space being only relativeto the present speed of light, which may not have always been as now, makes time itself an illusion that exists only in some dimensions butnot in others. In theory there are realms where time does not existat all, and this would bring the beginning and end of creation to asingle point (the forever now).

In all ancient cultures the same symbols, of the comingforth out of, and an overcoming of the dark waters (the inundation),can be found. In them the people had a story of creation, and in thata remembrance was told of a great journey, undertaken out of thedarkness into the Promised Land - out into the garden of light. Thisis achieved through a mathematical sequence actually contained in theform of the male and female deities, their stones or pillars, drawnimages, and ceremonial rites surrounding them. In early times at theWinter Solstice when darkness was at its greatest people held aceremony of sacrifice 'The Sacrifice of the Righteous' (of the lamb),in order to honour their true father and mother, and their Ancestorswho had completed the works, so that the dark was overcome, and thelight would again return. As late as Roman times the ceremony ofSaturnalia was held between the 17th and 23rd of December, and Saturn(the Old Sheep) is the 7th planet that gave its name to the SabbathDay of Saturday.

The ceremony seems to have moved from the Winter Solsticein Sumerian times, as the lamb (Aries) no longer appeared at theright time as Precession had moved it to later in the year. Theceremonies then moved to as late as May with the advent of the newGregorian calendar. In Eastern cultures the ceremony is still held inthe first days of February (Latin – Febuarius, time of sacrifice orpurification); but it is generally considered these ceremonies hadcoincided with the shortest days in ancient times from 6000 BC. (E.Plunket). There had been a different calendar in which a monthdivided into 3 parts of 10 days, and 10 parts of 3 days markingtransitions of the moon, which is full or dark for 3 days - thespring tide is 3 days coming, 3 days full, 3 days going. The Lunarphases correspond as does Precession to a division of 72(0), and thisfigure appears in myths of ancient cultures (as in the story of Sethand Osiris) not only in the old world, but also the new.

The moon's transformations are given as an image ofchange that occurs in the creative processes of life - linked to theturning of years and aeons (2160 years) around a tethering post orchurning pole at a speed of 10 every 72 years, through which theconstellations mark events (the struggle between the gods anddemons). The cycles of change are set throughout the year in therising and setting of stars in relation to the rising or setting sun, marking seasonal events (such as the rising Nile or times ofdrought): But on a larger scale, universal seasons could be marked,as the Solar System travels through the Galaxy in a great cycle, andonly through an extremely long period of observation could changes inthese cycles be noted, and the maths of their relationshipsunderstood.

These values of ‘The Judgements and the Laws’ werewritten in the stones that made-up the mountain, and brought forththe fiery light that was placed upon it. The laws were given to thechildren as knowledge of eternal life, of an everlasting renewal ofthe body formed of ‘One Nature’ - with a power within its laws torenew itself (as the waxing and waning moon portrays). This was acovenant to keep the laws, in which good brings forth life, and evilits destruction. Thus the people promised to keep the laws in orderto live in the garden and the light eternally: But this could only beachieved if they did not eat the fruit of the tree of self-knowledge,through which they would become divorced from a true one nature ofthe father (Heaven), and mother (Earth), the true owners of the houseand garden.

5

Page 6: Book 2. Book of Creation - Math of the I Ching

The changes between the light and dark, their waxing andwaning, were found to be a continuation of a creative process even inapparent states of destruction or death, as all changes enhance thecreation of life (every furthers). These were the meanings of thestory set down by the Holy Sages who knew and expressed their naturecompletely (the nature of Earth, Man, and Heaven), for this story iswritten in the body’s make-up of; both in the physical andpsychological functions. They wrote down both the physical laws andpsychological aspects, which on coming forth into all physicalactions of body express themselves completely (visibly expressed onthe field of action).

In the physical they wrote down the means or measure ofthe tools used to construct the body, it being the temple or thehouse in which the divine spirit lives*. This was the construction ofthe sacred mountain (the Pyramid), of which half is visible on theEarth the other half lies hidden within - shaped as a cubic diamondor crystal. From the forms of the cubes (the stars) the sagesconstructed time to give guidance to men - thus they regulated theseasons and years. Placing 24 hours as the day through 3600 of thecircle, all is formed through a division of the dimensions of changeby multiples of 6. The basis of the division was also applied to theLunar Year of 360 days, so that the same values of the day apply tothe year - a day has 86400 seconds, a year has 8640 hours, and8640000 years = one day of Brahma.

In this Book of Creation the maths of the mountain’sconstruction are given, and are taken to a point that relate thevalues attaining to the Lunar Year, the Solar Year, and Precession orSidereal Time (also marked by the movements of Venus, and the ringand moons of Saturn and Jupiter), its measure encompassing 'TheMeasure of the Means (Fishes)' in its divisions and relationships;explaining a construction of Lines, Trigrams, and Hexagrams, andforms of the Maps (The 2 Rivers).

The purpose of these texts is to equate all of the forms, lines, Trigrams, and Hexagrams with a value, and then to relate thesevalues to time, how time is recorded, and how its passing fits intothe workings and actions that take place within its framework - asthere appears to be a link between construction of time space and thecourse of action which takes place upon its field.

All forms have a value and each is given a position ofrelationship in male and female pairs, and then as groups. In thisway the values of pairs and groupings are found. From these findingsthe whole structure of values that exist can be determined - and onlythen can 'The Book' be read completely.

The basis of maths produce symbolic references to whichthey apply, so that they lead into a story of a pantheon of the gods(forces) and their actions, such as are also given in Hindu,Buddhist, and Greek Myths. The symbolic story produced was placedinto the heavens, as the science of the ancients were set into thenames of the stars and constellations - because the nature of thenight (the dark) was what the story portrayed. Each symbol having ameaning, which can be placed into the context of 'The Story' that washidden within rites of the temple.

To achieve the values of ‘The Changes’ the circle isdivided into 8 with a central value of 5, each division being aninteger (1 to 10) multiplied by 3, placed into the Maps. Thisprovides a cubic form (a division of 6) between whose opposites asequence of 7 is produced.

* There have been references to the similarities between the structure of theTrigrams, and the Hexagrams to both RNA, and to DNA. (See Hayes M. ‘The InfiniteHarmony’. Pub. Weidenfield. 1994).

6

Page 7: Book 2. Book of Creation - Math of the I Ching

This action of change reflects the way sequences ofvalues in all ancient cultures are arranged, and used in theconstruction of the mountain or the temple. In all the basicunderlying values, the same progression that balances the days andnights to an equal length is given - as they are at the spring andautumn equinox. In this way the central temple of Angkor Wat, whichis equinoxal and represents ‘Mount Meru’ can be understood, as itslayout and its pictorial carvings explain its workings. As standingon the sides of its five bridges (as G. Hancock mentions) there are270 demons and 270 gods, which is the number of the forces that givemotion to the churning pole (see Fig 11).

The Egyptian Great Pyramids seem to fit the plan if theirdimensions are looked at. The Great Pyramid of Cheops is given as5760 inches, 480 ft, or 160 yards in height. Each side of its base isapprox. 756 ft, or 252 yards, so the base dimensions total 1008yards. The relationship between height and base = 6.30, or bydoubling the height making a diamond = 3.15 (average value ofHexagrams formed by placing 6, 7, 8, 9, into six lines, that increaseby 7's), so 1.5 and 2.1 form a relationship between the measurements(e.g. 9072 ins. ÷ 21 = 432).

The pyramid of Khafre lends itself to a division of 21and 12 in its 705 ft base + 471 ft height, but Menkaure with a 357 ftbase + a guessed at 240 ft height, corresponds only in its basemeasurement, as does the Great Pyramid. These smaller Pyramids appearto have a pattern of a cross between length and height, but in metersnot in feet, as when added together they give a total of approx 252 +288 = 540 meters or 15 x 36. If their combined form is also made intoa diamond and 216 is again added to 540, the total would = 756 or 21x 36*. Both smaller pyramids have a base/height relationship of about1.49. Experimenting with these figures will show they mimic thosefound in the Hexagrams, how they can be linked to the equinoxalprecession’s rise and fall, and to the Earth’s circumference.

The workings of Hexagrams also seem to be linked withMayan (Olmec) observations of astronomical features as both areundertaken over periods of time with the same values. The structureof the Mayan\Olmec calendar is made-up of progressions of 7,200 days(20 Lunar Years) called Katuns x 13 x 20 (13 x 7200 = 9,360 x 20, and20 x 7200 = 144000 x 13), each totalling 1,872,000 days or 5,200years called a Baktun*1; the total of 5 Baktuns = 9,360,000 days or26,000 Lunar Years. The underlying structure is the same as ‘TheChanges’, being gained from a similar map to the Yellow River Mapthat has 5 quarters.

The units formed by the values contained in the workingsgive a relationship between the Lunar\Solar\Venus, and PrecessionalCycle (and Saturn and Jupiter*2); as the same values pertain to all,the movements come together working in union with each other as theLunar becomes the Solar, through the difference between the cyclesthat the Mayan placed into a 260 day ceremonial year called a Tzolkin- so the change of the Lunar (360 days) to the Solar (365) is anincrease by 1 (72 x 260 = 52 Lunar, 73 x 260 = 52 Solar Years) - andto attain the union between the Solar Year and the Venus Cycle of 584days (ratio 5/8) the period is doubled to 104 years*3.

* Ref to dimensions not more than +\-1 to correct feet/meters given– ‘Ancient Egypt’,DBP. Also see Petrie ‘The Great Pyramids’ London 1893, which gives the Royal Cubit at20.625 inches, but here the division is shown to work at 21 inches.*1 C. Chapter 1. A Discussion on the Values of ‘The Changes’.

At the beginning of an investigation of the valuescontained in ‘The Changes’ a cubic container or box can be drawn, this being in the form of a cubic hexagon - as is shown in Fig 6.Each of the faces and the lines of the cube can be given a value, which firstly can be a simple on/off, or light and dark. This placesa binary set of pairs (as lines) into the cubes. The combinations canbe made in whichever way is wished, and the pairs achieved produce 4alternatives called the 4 Primal Images (see Chapter 11. Part 1. TaChuan in The Materials). When one looks at the cube 3 faces arevisible, 3 faces are hidden, so that, the visible ones are calledlight, or Heaven, and the hidden are called the dark, or Earth. Ofthe 12 straight lines that draw the hexagon, 9 are visible, 3 arehidden. The lines of the Hexagram, The Receptive, are thereforedivided into 3 sections, the middle of the lines are left empty torepresent a 3 (a third), or the hidden lines.

Fig. 6. The Cubic Hexagon and its Faces and Lines.

All the possibilities of exchange in a cube or dice arecontained in 64 cubes, which have 384 faces*. The cubes are placed asmale and female pairs in order to construct the vessel, which holdsand transports all the creatures in pairs. The creatures are theattributes of the Trigrams, which they also impart to the Hexagrams.

* The exact value given in the construction of Noah's Ark in The Bible, including the3 stories = 384. The period of 384 years, over which the Olmec\Mayan made observationsof the cycles of the Heavens: And also the Moon is 384,000 km or 240,000 miles fromEarth, and has a diameter of 2160 miles (‘Skywatching’ D Levy, Collins.).

8

Page 9: Book 2. Book of Creation - Math of the I Ching

If the lines of a hexagon are extended a 6 pointed staror Hexagram (Star of David) is formed, which also makes a star if thepoints within the hexagon are joined up; one star is outside, theother is within. Each star has the form of a rectangle placed withinit that gives the measure or means (measure of the fish), and TheMaterials gave references to a manufacture of an inner and outercontainer or coffer, so the rectangles are thereby seen to be cubic(having form or mass).

Each of the parts of the hexagon can be given acharacter, the light faces are a single line, and the dark faces(which also encompass the lines needed to draw it) is a broken line*. The lines could also represent a whole rectangle and its divisionsinto thirds (see Chapter 3.). When these characters are placedtogether they form the 3 lines of the original Trigrams of Heaven andEarth, the father and mother, who between them combine their linesand produce 6 further Trigrams, the children. A list of values from 1to 10 is given to the Trigrams, Heaven, and Earth. (See also Chapter9. Part 1. Ta Chuan in The Materials. Which explains the values ofHeaven and Earth, and the 8 Trigrams order of completeness). TheOrder of Completeness is given in Figs. 7, and The Values of Heavenand Earth in Fig. 8.

Fig. 7. The Trigrams in Their Order of Completeness. The Family Sequence of Trigrams.

The values of Heaven and Earth are arrived at by simplyadding the values given to each as 1 to 10, to their 3 lines.

Each of the light and dark lines now has a value that canbe applied to all the combinations between the 2 Original Trigrams.

Fig. 8. The Values of Heaven and Earth.

Heaven 1. = 6. Earth 2. = 12. Heaven 3. = 18. Earth 4. = 24.Heaven 5. = 30. Earth 6. = 36. Heaven 7. = 42. Earth 8. = 48.Heaven 9. = 54. Earth 10. = 60. The total value is 330.

These values of Heaven and Earth can now be placed intothe Yellow River Map that is drawn in Fig. 9., forming a sequence ofpairs (the cyclic values of change) in its directions, and seasons.

*1 The Lines represent the various deities used from Neolithic times, as the male lineis singular, the female is divided (e.g. Isis and Nephthys or the Cherubim - theconsorts of Yahweh) - these divisions form the maths of the cube - cube poss. fromKubaba.

The Elements and the 10 Cyclic Signs of Change.

The order of arrangement of the Trigrams of Heaven andEarth into the squares are: Heaven 1 to Earth 6, Earth 2 to Heaven 7,Heaven 3 to Earth 8, Heaven 9 to Earth 4, and the central value isHeaven 5 to Earth 10. In all of these pairing of numbers there is adifference of 5 between each of them, and this is their firstrelationship. When they are extended by the addition of 5, the valueof 10 becomes their second relationship: As in the extension of thevalues a list is obtained, in which each value increases by 10. Ifthis is extended in accordance to the number of values in the map (1to 10), then there are 40 light numbers (40 days), and 40 darknumbers (40 nights); and it is from these values that are listed inFig. 10 that all of the workings of ‘The Changes’ are obtained.

10

Page 11: Book 2. Book of Creation - Math of the I Ching

The full values of Heaven and Earth can be added into thenumbers of the Yellow River Map; so that each of the numbers of 10'sare multiplied by 6. All are then placed into the square in Fig. 11.

Fig. 11. The Placement of the Values of Heaven and Earthinto the Square.

The values of Heaven and Earth can now be applied to theformation of the Hexagrams, and each line of values forms 4 squaresof 64 Hexagrams, in accordance to the directions of the Yellow RiverMap: As all 1's go with 6's, 2's to 7's, 3's to 8's and 4's to 9's;each forming a set of 8 Trigrams between them, which when doubled (8x 8) as they are placed into the square form Hexagrams; as is shownin Fig. 12.*1 The total of the values = 270 light and 270 dark, so the central value of 5 = 270.This value corresponds to the light and dark figures of the demons and gods placedonto the 5 bridges at Angkor Thom - who represent the figures that turn the churningpole.*2 The totals of the columns have an average value of 2160, and all = 4320 addedtogether to 10 (column 1 + 9 and so on) - and most values are -1 or +1 or both to a'Prime'.

11

Page 12: Book 2. Book of Creation - Math of the I Ching

Fig. 12. The Alternations (of the Yellow Emperors)

All the Hexagrams form a symmetrical pattern around thesquare, each being an opposite to each other, light to dark, or maleto female. All the opposite pairs add to a common value of 84, andthe Hexagrams form a cross within the square (the same as the crossof St George, or Patrick’s 8 Spoked wheel). This first square ismale, the second one is female, third male, fourth female: As each ofthe male female opposites turns the square upside down, its rightbecomes its left placing the opposite values together in the sameplace in the square. In the outer squares therefore, each has its ownvalue between the opposite pairs: 1 to 6 = 84. 2 to 7 = 108, 3 to 8 =132, and 4 to 9 = 156. The total of the male = 240, and the female =240, so each Hexagram’s average value = 120.

The amount of lines of values formed in each of thesquares is 13, so that 4 squares total of 52 (5 squares = 65), thiscorresponds to the weeks, or the years*.

* The years of a Mayan ceremonial cycle 72 x 260, corresponds with 360 x 52 years - or

73 x 260 = 18,720 corresponds to 365 x 52 years = 18,980 = 73 x 260 = 72/73 = Tun/Haab.

12

Page 13: Book 2. Book of Creation - Math of the I Ching

By The Family Sequence of Trigrams - as given in Fig.1., The Materials, double or are squared to form 64 Hexagrams (theStars or Seals). The 8 x 8 Perfect Magic Square is formed in each theHo Tu’s Directions or Elements. The Square is perfect in both BinaryImage and Integer Value.

13

The expansion of the Binary Images from the Lines, Pairs and Trigramsinto the Hexagrams gives us a value = 124875(7 = 16, 5 = 32, 64= 1)and this value also matches the Contracted Integer Runs given in themanufacture of Magic Squares 8 x 8 (18,81 = 12345678 C9 12345678,27,72, 45,54) given in ‘The Well’. The value of 3 and 6 and 9 don’tgive 8 values that match Sequences of 8 Trigrams, but as will beshown the values of +3s and +6s give only 3 numbers of repeatingvalues, and 9s always produce the same integer run, as in = 111s to999s to infinity.

Page 14: Book 2. Book of Creation - Math of the I Ching

The value’s of the Outer 4 Squares are symmetrical bothin their integer value, and also in their binary images within the 8x 8 Magic Square. The manufacture of one square in each Direction orElement, and that each are reversals of the one opposite it, producesa Trigram Sequence that run 1 to 8 or 8 to 1 starting with Ch’ien andalso with K’un to give the Square’s of Heaven and Earth (light anddark or male and female). The values found in the squares has beenput up on Ken Taylor’s Site, Earlyheaven.com - Origins - Ho Tu and LoShu - and also Lee Burton drew the first values 1 to 9 when the wholeprocess was being explained to him, see Fig 12A. The Outer 1 to 6North, 2 to 7 South, 3 to 8 East and 4 to 9 West all produce thecentral square of 5 and 10, as in the 8 Spoke Wheel of the Lo Shu thevalue of 5 has no pairing and has therefore to be added to 10 when 1is added to 9 etc. We are looking at a pattern of how to add naturalintegers together to produce 10s, and so 5 is the average value ofall the other numbers 1 to 9.

Fig 12A. The 5 Elements.

14

Page 15: Book 2. Book of Creation - Math of the I Ching

By adding the values of the opposite squares of Hexagramsthat are manufactured between the outer values together, each setproduces a central square of values between them - this is the 5th orhidden square - see Fig. 13. The process is called ‘The Five Elementsof Change’.

The same values are achieved if all the lines of valuesincluding 5 and 10 are added together; the total of the outer valuesis then equal to the central value of 15.

Fig. 13. The Hidden Square of Values in the 4 Squares.

The outer values in pairs of opposites = 240 which is thevalue of 10, and this is shown in the totals of Fig. 11.

The central values of 10 which are obtained by adding theopposites together; these values being placed together in accordanceto the directions given in the second of the maps which is the LoRiver Map - Fig. 14.

Fig. 14. The Lo River Map.

In the values of the Lo River Map all the outer valuesadd to 10, but it only has a central value of 5, or half - note thatthe value of 10 is divided into half in the Yellow River Map, andthat the adding in of 5 has not yet taken place. The values opposite

to each other in the Lo River Map are not opposites of light anddark, as they were in the Yellow River Map, but are of like kind. Thevalues of 1 + 9 and 7 + 3 being male or light, places all the lightlines at the cardinal points of the map; and can be drawn into acircle - the dark lines being placed at the angles of the square -Heaven is round, and Earth is square.

In both the maps the relationship of the integers hasbeen expressed, as between the circle and the square that, in thesymmetrical pattern formed in the square the values can be read offas a circle: And, there is a relationship from the lower values thatadd to 5 (in pairs) 1 + 4 and 2 + 3, and the upper values of 6, 7, 8,9, which when added give a value of 10 (as 1 + 9, 2 + 8, 3 + 7, and 4+ 6). The upper values when added together = 15 and, when thisfitting together is applied to the central value of 4 squares, theirworkings are revealed.

In the list of central values (8 x 8 x 8 = 512) asequence of expansion is expressed by always adding the last line tothe first line - the 'One Above'. A list of values in accordance tothe Lo River Map is given in Fig. 15.

Fig. 15. The Values of The Opposites in the 4 Squares.

Lines | Values of Opposites | Values | Total of the Valueof 4 | in Squares. |Increased by| of the Opposites.

Squares | | First Line.| (2 pairs of Squares)1. | 60 180 | = 240 | 60 + 180 = 240.2. | 300 420 | = 480 | 300 + 420 = 720.3. | 540 660 | = 720 | 540 + 660 = 1200.4. | 780 \ / 900 | = 960 | 780 + 900 = 1680.5. | 1020 X 1140 | = 1200 | 1020 + 1140 = 2160.6. | 1260 / \ 1380 | = 1440 | 1260 + 1380 = 2640.7. | 1500 1620.| = 1680 | 1500 + 1620 = 3120.8. | 1740 1860.| = 1920 | 1740 + 1860 = 3600.9. | 1980 2100.| = 2160 | 1980 + 2100 = 4080.

10. | 2220 2340.| = 2400 | 2220 + 2340 = 4560.

Put together, the values in accordance with the Lo RiverMap, 1 = 240 is added to 9 = 4080 = 4320, which = the product of 2squares. The average of a square is 2160*, so a total of 1 + 9 = 8640(hours in 360 days), and this total is achieved in all values thatadd to 10. In the addition of 5 (1/2) the total would then = 8640 +4320 = 12,960 (an exact value for the rise or fall of Precession).

If the values given in Fig. 15 are extended to 15 lines,the total value of 15 is 6960 + 240 = 7200 x 2 = 14400. The value ofline 6 = 1440 (1440 x 4 = 5760) and line 9 = 2160 (2160 x 4 = 8640)when added the total is 3600; and the same applies to the addition of7 = 1680 + 8 = 1920 = 3600; the addition of the total values of 5760+ 8640 = 14400.

The Binary progression also has a value linked throughProfessor A. Thom’s measurement’s of alignments = 1.28, as x 56 =71.68, which is given as a modern Precessional value (71.68 = 1degrees). The value of Precession given as 1 degree every 72 yrs., isseen as a standard measure that fits all the ancient system foundacross many other cultural bases, as this fits with the values of2160, 4320 etc. The difference between 25920 and 25804.8 = 115.2(224/225).

*2160 yrs., equals 1 constellation or 300 in the Precession of the Equinoxes - whichmeans that the sequences of the squares, which produce the lunar hours, also give staror sidereal time that moves at 1 degree every 72 years. This can also be linked to themovements of Jupiter and Saturn, as Jupiter circles the Sun every 12 years or 4333days, and Saturn circles every 29.5 years or 10,759 days (Moon wax and wanes 29.5days). Jupiter is close to 4320, Saturn 10.800 – see ‘Skywatching’ D. Levy, Collins.

16

Page 17: Book 2. Book of Creation - Math of the I Ching

The total of 7 = 1680 is of interest as it is the totalof the 7 changes, which are arrived at out of 55 numbers. A similarfigure of 55/168 is mentioned in Egyptian texts as being related tothe value of the 7th ray, and the construction of the Pyramids (seeBend Me a Maze - By P. Villiers-Stuart. Glastonbury -Pub. Rider).

All the values contained in the squares (the outervalues) can now be added to 15, and the total sum of all the valuesto 15 = 108,000*1.

The outer values of the squares can now be finalized inthe Lo River Map to give a progression of Lunar Years, and this isgiven in Fig 16.

Fig. 16. The Total Values of ‘The Changes’.(The Lunar Years)

| Values of 10 plus a half (5).1. | 60 180.| 240. | 240 + 120 = 360.2. | 300 420.| 480. | 480 + 240 = 720.3. | 540 660.| 720. | 720 + 360 = 1080. 1800 x 24. | 780 \ / 900.| 960. | 960 + 480 = 1440. total 36005. | 1020 X 1140.| 1200. | 1200 + 600 = 1800.6. | 1260 / \ 1380.| 1440. | 1440 + 720 = 2160.7. | 1500 1620.| 1680. | 1680 + 840 = 2520.8. | 1740 1860.| 1920. | 1920 + 960 = 2880. 5400 x 29. | 1980 2100.| 2160. | 2160 + 1080 = 3240. total 10800

10. | 2220 2340.| 2400. | 2400 + 1200 = 3600.The value of 10 is now equal to 15 Total =14400in all the directions of the map.

If the figures of Fig. 16 are again extended to 15 linesthe total of line 15 = 5400 and added to line 1 = 360 the value of 15(line 16) is 5760 (5760 x 2 = 11,520 (90 x 64) or as there are really4 values involved 2880 x 4).

In each of the stages of ‘The Changes’ the numbers givenincrease by 10's, so the total of 100, which was 2400, is now thevalue of 10 - this means that the total value of 100 now = 144,000.This increase can be taken to infinity, and is a process that isoften mentioned in texts on Alchemy*2.

The structure of ‘The Changes’ is the same as that oftime, which was put in place by the ancients; but this structure doesnot completely relate to the true movements of either the moon orsun. The Lunar Year being 354.4308 days, and the Solar Year being365.242199 days - the difference between them being 10.8 days. TheLunar Year of 360 days produces an almost exact difference between itand the Solar Year of 1260 hours: So when the workings of time arelooked at the values of ‘The Changes’ correspond. The value of 8640 =the hours in the 360 day Lunar year, but it is also the amount ofseconds in one day. The amount of minutes in an hour are 60*3 x 24 =1440 in 24 hours = 3600, or 150 in an hour. So we can surmise that thecreators of our system of time knew the working’s of our SolarSystem, the exact period of Precession, and that these creatorsexisted at a very time in our known history.

*1 This value is equal to one Yuga = 108000 human years. 2 = 216000 x 4000 = 8640000 =one day in the life of Brahma.*2 See- Alchemy. J. Fabricius Pub. Diamond.*3 There are only 60 working Hexagrams - see Chapter 4.

Chapter 2. The Primal Order of the Opposites.

The Lo River Map brings together the opposites of themale and female Hexagrams, and in so doing gives the central value, which exists between all the opposites.

In the Yellow River Map, the Hexagrams were placed asdirect opposites across the square, as was the case in the wheel ofFig. 1., so that a circle of symmetrical and diametrical oppositeswas formed. The form of the 2nd wheel given in Fig. 2 shows theopposites placed together in pairs around the wheel, and this gives asecond order to the Trigrams which is now called the Primal Order ofthe Trigrams, which are given in Fig. 17A and 17B.

The new order of The Outer Sequence of Trigrams, which isgiven in Fig. 19, will form the order of the Hexagrams as they appearin the texts of Book 3., The Judgements and the Laws. The positionsof the Hexagrams that this new order forms in the square are given inthe introduction of Book 3.

Fig. 17A The Sequence of Trigrams as They Appear in TheLo River Map.

In placing these pairs of opposites into their male andfemale order, which is given in The Materials (see Shou Kua, Section10.) the sequence given in Fig. 17B is achieved.

Fig. 17B. The Primal Order of the Trigrams.

The Primal Order of the Trigrams can then be placed intothe square; this brings all the opposite Hexagrams and their valuestogether. The example of the values included in Fig. 18, are fromLine 1 of the Values of Heaven and Earth (see Figs. 10 and 11), sothat all opposite pairs of Hexagrams have a common value of 240 (thedays and nights are of equal length).

The order of the Trigrams can also be placed into thefemale sequence to encompass both the male and female squares.

18

Page 19: Book 2. Book of Creation - Math of the I Ching

Fig. 18. The Primal Sequence of the Hexagrams.

The Hexagram Sequence brings together the opposites of Heaven Earthand places the Father and Mother and the Children in the correctorder. The Male Order = 12345678, and Female = 87654321, so they areopposites of light and dark or odd and even numbers =9. The firstsequence of the Ho Tu = +5s 16273849 and 51, this matches the 516273849of Contracted Integer Run. The second sequence = 18,27,36,45 etc =9s.

19

Page 20: Book 2. Book of Creation - Math of the I Ching

In The Materials (see Fig 3. and appended Note) there are2 orders of placement for the Trigrams of K'an and Li - one orderrefers to their inner placement, the other is their outer placement. This double order denotes a transformation of the energies of water(rain) and fire (lightening) into the outer forms of the moon andsun. The Trigrams of K'an and Li are the middle son and middledaughter and therefore, stand between the eldest and the youngest -this being their inner placement: In their outer placement they canbe moved to a position at the end of the Trigrams.

Changing the placement of K'an and Li not only makessense of their symbolic meanings, but also makes sense in the mathsof the Hexagrams. In their movements, K'an and Li form thecompletions or the ends - as the Hexagrams made up of these 2Trigrams are ‘Before’ and ‘After Completion’ the last Hexagrams inBook 3 (63 and 64).

The placement of K'an and Li in their outer placementgives the basis for the order of the Hexagrams in Book 3. TheJudgements and the Laws. This order is of opposite pairings, notreversals as they appear in the I Ching: As it is only through thevalues of the opposites that the working values of ‘The Changes’ areattained. There are many clues given in the readings of theindividual lines that point to the order being one of opposites, notof reversals; for as reversals the Hexagrams fail to have a centralvalue or a point of balance.

The Hexagrams of ‘Before’ and ‘After Completion’ alsogive 2 orders of male and female lines, as their lines alternate fromlight to dark they are both opposites, but are also reversals of eachother. They change into each other through their Nuclear Trigrams(Trigrams formed out of the 4 middle lines of the Hexagram - seeChapter 4.). The only other Hexagrams that are unable to change inthis way are The Creative with 6 light lines, and The Receptive with6 dark lines - this leaves 60 Hexagrams that are able to transforminto different Hexagrams, which are neither opposites nor reversalsof themselves.

The 60 Hexagrams capable of transformation are formed outof the eldest and the youngest children in any combination, whichincludes those they make with Ch'ien, K'un, K'an and Li.

Fig. 19. The Trigrams of the Outer Sequence.

In the Primal Sequence all the Trigrams are placedopposite each other around the square: As the Trigrams of K'an and Liare moved the pattern changes but the balance is maintained.

The division of the Trigrams into 3 Orders gives the 3stories on which the construction of the vessel is based, and intowhich the male and female creatures are placed 2 by 2. (As pairs).

20

Page 21: Book 2. Book of Creation - Math of the I Ching

Chapter 3. On the Values of the Lines andThe Measure of the Means (or the Fishes).

The construction of the form and order of the Hexagramshas been accomplished; all have been given their values through theplacing together Heaven and Earth in the directions of the maps. Acommon thread between the workings of both maps has been found, sothat both are now known to be parts of each other - not derived atdifferent times but just explaining different times; fitting in withconcepts put forward in The Materials, The History of Civilization.

One map being the inner, and the other the outer, theyform a relationship of measure which is expanded through the form ofthe squares. Each of the squares containing sets of lines ofHexagrams that can be read off in any direction - 6 Hexagrams alwayshave a value of 720 and placed together as opposites 1440; 7 lineshaving a value of 840 x 2 = 1680. Each quarter matching its opposite, all having a central value which when placed together has a total of15.

The value of 15 is reflected in the values obtained whenusing the Yarrow Stalks (or coin) Oracle, as the Hexagrams have non-moving lines which do not change their form valued as 7 and 8, andmoving lines of 6 and 9 which change the Hexagrams one into another. This gives each Hexagram a value in accordance as to whether they areall 6, 7, 8, or 9's, giving each Hexagram a value and then anextended set of values - all have a relationship with one another.

The average value of each Hexagram accords to the valueof 5 = 30 and 10 = 60 giving a total of 90 (a right angle), this isshown in Fig. 20.

Fig 20. The Basic Values of the 6 Lines of the Hexagram.

When casting the oracle the end values of 6, 7, 8, 9, areachieved by putting aside sticks, which is the same action of addingthe lower values to the upper. If the lower values of 1, 2, 3, 4, areadded in, the total value of each Hexagram then =120. When this isdone to the 6 lines of the Hexagram the complete action of the mapsis given, but one gets values, which increase by 7. The Loads of 7's,upon which the completion of change is based is explained in Fig. 21Aand 21B. The values obtained are the base upon which all the measuresor means of construction can be listed.

21

Page 22: Book 2. Book of Creation - Math of the I Ching

Fig. 21A. The Combination of the Lower and Upper, and theCorrespondence of the Opposite Lines.

The correspondence of the lines are given as 1 to 4, 2 to5, and 3 to 6 in the Hexagram; therefore the readings of these linesare linked together, 1 to 4 = 40, 2 to 5 = 80, 3 to 6 = 120 the total= 240.

If the lower and upper values are extended to encompassthe 6 lines of the Hexagram, all values given are a sequencemultiples of 7. The lower value totals 210, and the upper valuetotals 630, a combined the total = 840 (840 x 2 = 1680 the value of7). The values of the Lower and Upper are placed into the 6 lines ofthe Hexagram in Fig. 21B.

Fig. 21B. The Loads of 7.

22

Page 23: Book 2. Book of Creation - Math of the I Ching

By putting together values given in Figs. 21A/B., asequence of values can be obtained. This can be done in a variety ofways, either as just the lower or the upper values, or by dividingthem into halves and then adding them together. In whichever way thisis achieved, the values that the sequences contain have a common setof values, so the 2 lists of numbers form a relationship with oneanother. These values can be divided by the value’s of the Hexagrams, which when placed at a right angle to one another form a set ofrectangles. The small rectangles form an angle of approximately 30degrees (30 = the value of 5), and the large 60 degrees (value = 10),which proportionally fit into the hexagon or ‘ The Star of David’,see Fig. 22.

Fig. 22. The Rectangle of The Measure of the Means. *

The smaller rectangles fit as a division of 1/3 into thelarger, this form is represented in the unbroken line (the largerectangle), and broken line (the small rectangles); also the Trigramsare the 2 equal sided triangles of Heaven and Earth that form ‘TheStar’ have the same division. To clarify the maths I shall quote thenote written by Wilhelm to accompany Hexagram 2. K'un, The Receptive,Line 2, in Book 1 of the I Ching: “In mathematics, when wediscriminate between lines, planes, and solids, we find thatrectangular planes result from straight lines, and cubic magnitudesfrom rectangular planes.” This explains the matter perfectly.

* The Rectangle is created between 2 intersecting circles whose circum meet at eachother’s central point, called the Vesica Piscis; its dimensions are given as the √ of3. Archimedes called the rectangle ‘The Measure of the Fishes’ with a fraction of153:265.

23

Page 24: Book 2. Book of Creation - Math of the I Ching

Chapter 4. ‘The Changes’ of the Three's and Five's.

The make up of each Hexagram consists of the 2 originalTrigrams that went into its manufacture, and the Nuclear Trigramsthat are formed out of the 4 central lines of the Hexagram. How thisis achieved is shown in Fig. 23.

Fig. 23. The Trigrams and the Nuclear Trigrams.

Each original Hexagram produces 2 Nuclear Trigrams, inthe 1st set the Hexagrams produce 16 different Nuclear Trigramsbetween them, and in the second set only 4 different NuclearHexagrams are produced. The 4 different Hexagrams of the 2nd set arecalled the beginnings and the ends: Therefore, there are only 60 or15 x 4 sets of working Hexagrams that are able to change. A list ofall the 1st and 2nd Nuclear Hexagrams is drawn in Fig. 24.

Fig. 24 The List of 1st and 2nd Nuclear Trigrams.

In Chapter 10 of Ta Chuan, Part 1, Section 3., it statesthat through the 3 and 5 operations the changes can be undertaken;this statement is said to be related to the Yarrow Stalk Oracle; butit is also explained that the meaning of these operations have beenlost for countless ages.

24

Page 25: Book 2. Book of Creation - Math of the I Ching

In all the operations of ‘The Changes’ there is acomplete consistency of workings and values. In all the operationsthere are the 5 elements of change through which the value 3 achievesthe changes and their completeness.

If the operations of change and the Nuclear Trigrams arefitted together with their values achieved in the squares (the 5elements of change) a full picture of the symmetry can be foundbetween the Hexagrams and their values - see Fig 25.

The whole of the square is a reflection from one quarterto another diagonally, and from one half to another. The total amountof changing Hexagrams is 60 or 15 sets of 4, and each set contains atotal of 12 Hexagrams with a total value of 1440 x 15 = 21600.

25

Page 26: Book 2. Book of Creation - Math of the I Ching

The 6 and 7 steps of Change or Return are drawn in Fig.26. The steps constitute sets of opposites, who through a set of linechanges attain a reversal of their original polarities. The Hexagramsof The Creative and The Receptive show how the reversal is achieved, but this applies to any opposite Hexagrams.

Fig. 26. The 6 and 7 Steps of Change.

The 5 Hexagrams that change give a reversal of gender.

All the Hexagrams are placed around the circle asopposites, and in so doing form a circle of directions as a compassor calendar. These ideas have been passed down in various forms, which are in use in practices such as Feng Shui. Feng Shui showsobvious links to the working’s of ‘The Changes’, particularly to theYellow and Lo River Maps. Though in the details given in variousbooks on Feng Shui there seems to be some fundamental errors in themaths used, as the values given to such details as the 10 CyclicSigns are increased to 12. But these matter aside, Feng Shui andother practices such as the Tibetan ‘Time Wheel Thread’ do provideclues to how the workings of the Hexagrams were changed throughmathematical short cuts to fit later ideas in calendars, compasses, and maps. Their usage finds some strange links, as they can be fittedinto the layout of the mythical Shangri-La, which at its centrecontains a sacred mountain surrounded by a division of land in thefield pattern of ‘The Well’. In its design are the circle of Heaven, and square of Earth – these are also found in the design of a Chortenor Stupa whose origins cannot be classified as Buddhist, as they havesimilar forms in older Tibetan Bon and Hindu images. Again, with therise of new religions, each took on ideas from what already existedin the older to attain creditability and belief from the people – weare looking at power struggles within states for position and wealth.

The idea of the mountain and the directions that arefundamental to workings of ‘The Changes’ can be found in the Tibetantexts of the ‘Jigten Chagtsul’, which provides a very good idea ofthe archetypes that link the ancient cultures together:

“In the beginning was the void. Then a wind, which grewin strength and concentration, formed the double thunderbolt(Dorje). From the thunderbolt came thick clouds, and from the cloudsfell raindrops as big a cartwheels to create the primal ocean. Thewind churned the ocean into foam*, which gathered into solid matter. From its centre rose a cosmic mountain (Rirab Llumpo) rising eighttimes ten thousand leagues above the ocean, and sinking as deepbelow it. The mountain had four faces, the north of shining gold, south of malachite, east of crystal, and west of silver. From thehighest point grew a tree whose trunk extended down like a spinethrough the mountain. Its branches burst forth with flowers, fruit, and vigorous growth, and soon the whole summit was covered withtress and flowers, in meadows with rivers, on hills and valleys, ofsuch a pastoral delight that the gods made it their home.”

* The foam born goddess was Aphrodite.

Conclusions - The Bagua, The Well and the River Map’s Math. Fig.27.

The math in ‘The Book of Creation’, and the narrativegiven in ‘The Materials’ is the prelude to ‘The Book of Judgement’sand Law’s’ that are ‘The Oracles’. In ‘The Oracles’ all situations orevents that occur in the action’s of the physical body are described, and these are referred to as ‘The Law’s of the Jungle’, as all isdescribed through the symbols of ‘Sacred Animals’ contained in theimage’s of the Trigrams and Hexagrams.

The Trigram’s of Heaven and Earth (the father and mother)give birth to the six children - this gives the 8 Trigrams that whendoubled produce the 64 Hexagrams in the sequence’s of the valuesgiven in The Well, as the 1 to 8 or 8 to 1 match The Bagua, but theMagic Square’s of Hexagrams can also be produced in all the integersequences = 9s except 3, 6, and 9 runs. All of the Outer values inThe Well of 1 to 8, 2 to 7, 4 to 5 and their reversals give a list of‘Contracted Integers’ - and these have a set pattern to infinity intowhich the 8 Trigrams can be fitted. These integer patterns can befound to always produce 9s as a central value, but 3 x 3 squaresexist in all contracted integers 1 to 9 seen also in the Solfeggio

values. The 8 Spoke or Dharma Wheel, which appeared in The Materialsgives the 8th division (45 degree) as the base for all the math in‘The Changes’, and all the values from 1 to 9 are found to produce 3x 3 Magic Squares, but 5 and 9 appear as being of greatest importanceto this work as they are paramount in the manufacture of the + 5values in the Ho Tu and the value’s of time in the Lo Shu (MagicSquare of Saturn - God of Time). From the values produced in theRiver Maps the value’s of the measurement’s of Earth, Moon, Sun,Venus and Sothic Cycles also appear at their base. The ContractedIntegers of The Well Fig. 27., and Binary Image’s of Bagua:

12345678 = 1 to 8 = 9 and 0 = 87654321.24681357 = 2 to 7 = 75318642.48372615 = 4 to 5 = 51627384 (= Binary 124875).

All of these give 9s as a value of opposites, reversals, and central integer values, but in the binary images central value isclear and empty = 0. These integers also produce 3s and 6s and theinteger run’s of 3s and 6s are also a pattern to infinity = 369369369and 639639639, which also make 9s and multiples of 9s = 999999999s,so this gives a pattern of the Contracted Integers in the 9 x 9 MagicSquare of the Moon (Fig. 11.).

= 9s - a symmetrical Magic Square of Lo Shu. These valuesthen go on to make 10 x 10 = 10s, as in the integer run 5 becomes theaverage or mean value of each of the other integers = half of thevalue of each pairing = 10, as in 1 to 9, 2 to 8, 3 to 7 and 4 to 6.When these integers are placed into the Binary Images of the Trigramsas an addition they all = 6s, but as a doubling (multiplication) they= 7s. Thereby all the value’s of Creation are 6s and 7s and thisconcurs with the ancient texts in many ancient traditions. If theContracted Integer Runs of 123456789 is used all + 6s then give alist of + 111 as also found in the Lo Shu’s cross-over values, andthese are now termed as Solfeggio Tones.

492357816

456 = +1s, 654 = + 8s, 357 = + 2s, 752 = + 7s, 258 = +3s, 852 = +6s,159 = + 4s and 951 = + 5s.

Solfeggio Tones always double their central value, and thisrule = all integers = 123, 234 etc, and the 3 x 3 Magic Squares theycreate. Looking at Contracted Integers the + 6 value = 123456789 =174, 285, 396, 417, 528, 639, 741, 852 and 963 all = + 111. Thepattern’s of + 6s are to infinity = 1 + 6 = 7 + 6 = 13 = 4 + 6 = 1 =174174, 285285 etc. The doubling again of these values give 3s, 6sand 9s in the transformation of contracted numbers that are thepairings = 9s. These values are taken from Solfeggio Base 63 that isan addition of + 6s = 63 = 174 so the opposite 36 gives + 3s = 147.The Lo Shu values of 258 to 852, 456 o 654 etc = pairs + 1 - 8s, 2 to7, 3 to 6 and 4 to 5 plus their reversals.

The value’s of the Lo Shu can be listed as ContractedInteger values in the so called Solfeggio counts, but + 111 is notquite a general rule as other values appear between the counts 1 to 9as 0 is not used. This difference gives 21 and 102, when value 9turns to 1s, but in the Lo Shu all opposites = 99 in the SolfeggioBase Value of each number of the 8 Spoke, and an example is easilyfound in the values that contain central 5 as where given above as258 and 852, and plus 456 and 654 or 159 and 951. The Outer valuescreate 99 as opposites and reversals, as with the case of 816 (base =27) and 294 (base 72), or 618 (base 42) and 492 (base = 57) but theydon’t give the doubling’s of values. In listing each Solfeggioprogression the opposites = 99 also then produce = 1110 as in thisexample of 36 to 63 it’s a general rule between all values = 099, buteach set can be placed into the Contracted Integer runs as in example= + 5s Cn matched to +111s in + 3s (36) and +6s (63) etc:

The investigation of this math will take a while tocomplete but all underlying patterns can be found in relationshipspointed at in the Lo Shu, and between all integer runs from +1s to +8s as = +9s always repeat = 111, 222 etc. The values of 1 to 8, 2 to7, 3 to 6, and 4 to 5 have the base values of 12 to 87, 24 to 75, 36to 63 and 48 to 51, and in these runs all values are symmetricallyplaced between all opposites. All values produce 3s, 6s, 9s.

Magic Squares can be seen in the sets of numbers, so each18, 27, 45 etc works when placed as central values. The math of ‘TheBook of Changes’ shows patterns that exist within all integers, andgives us ‘The Images’ of Binary Expansion through which all working’sof Time and Dimension are obtained. Value’s = 9 are always theproducts = 27, 36, 45, 54, 63, 108, 216, 4320 and 8640 etc, and thisappears in both the Small and Great Cycles of Precession = 12960,

25920 and 51840. So the main core of this work is that ContractedIntegers link to Binary Images through ‘The Well’ and ‘Bagua’ in away that reveals the whole structure of the Vessel (Container) in themost simplest ways - a way that is always balanced and equal asopposites and reversals. We can link these values across the board,in Music, RNA, DNA and the whole Atomic-lattice as ‘The Well’ is alsotermed as ‘The Field Pattern’ (The Flower of Life) of the Source. TheHo Tu gives the Inner Construct, and the Lo Shu is the writtendocument as it’s the appendage of the Outer Construction, describedas the buildings put in place by the Holy Sages (given in the accountof ‘The History of Civilization’).

The Book of Changes thought to be for fortune tellers cannow be seen as a book based on a universal math that were understoodby a lost civilization, which has now returned to us through modernphysics. The Chinese Book of Changes is the oldest treatise known tomankind, and it’s a base upon which all other so called divine orsacred math are based - as it reveals all is of the same Source orWell-Spring. The division into opposites of law are only the creativemeans through which the body is forged. The simplicity of the math inthe placement of integers into binary images fundamentally appears inthe Trigram’s of Heaven and Earth when they are placed into the HoTu, and when the 9 x 9 square is used, a Nine Stack of values appearsin the manufacture of 5th central squares in each 1 to 9 integer runso 5 becomes the central value.

The order given in the Ho Tu is 1 to 6, 2 to 7, 3 to 8and 4 to 9 in the outer values, and all values are + 5s, which thecreate + 10s to give all the totals needed to open the Lo Shu (the 3x 3 Square of Time). This means that a pattern between odd and evennumbers does exist, and this inherent pattern produces all thevalue’s of Precession = 25920. The central value (as also appears inthe 9 x 9 Square) = 2160, and the totals of the outer opposites =4320, so 6480 appears in each direction in the 8 spoke. I could putall of the values of the 8 x 8 but these appear in Ken Taylor’s Site,Earlyheaven.com under Origins, Ho Tu and Lo Shu, so the reader canrefer to the site or do the working’s of maths for themselves.

Fig., 29. Value’s of the Lo Shu ‘Nine Stack’.

This math shows the Ho Tu and Lo Shu are totaly connectedas one united entity, so this has overcome the confusion of the manyattributes given to different mythical figures, as in each the samestory is reflected to their own time in history (maybe those whounderstood and revived the math and practice of conduct in their owntime as did King Wen and the Duke of Chou/Zhou). The first mythicalfigure is Fu Hsi, and the second ones said to have invented the LoShu are the Yellow Emperors, Lastly Wilhelm gives the accolade toKing Wen, but this award seems to have been given to the invention ofthe Lo Shu, which in ‘The Materials’ is awarded to the mythologicalSages who appended the Outer Buildings to the Inner Base = The YellowEmperors of Yu, Yoa and Shun - but it’s all seems no more than anarrative of characters made to describe the math to give a form to atribal history. We find each peoples’ wrote of their own connectionback to the ancestors or the creator of mankind, as with the SumerianKing Lists, the Greek, and Hebrew, so the Chinese appear as being nodifferent in trying to cement their own connections to the creator orcreative forces of the whole universe and of all mankind.

The whole make-up of the math are described in “TheOracles’, which now are going to be given in ‘Book 3. The Book ofJudgement’s and Law’s.
