The tandem and combination rollers - BW 115 and 131 are specially developed to meet requirements in Japan market.
The machines distiguish themselves by bench operator seat, dual travel levers, foot brake, complete light package, rear view mirrors etc.
All the machines are powered by reliable, and powerful KUBOTA diesel engine, which meets the latest emission stanard. Engine hood is installed with noise insulation as standard to reduce overall noise level, in order to be suitable for working in the city.
Large diameter drum (700 mm / BW 115, 800 mm / BW 131) guarantees smooth surface finish and prevent asphlat mix from being shoveled even working on soft materials and thick layers.
1,200 mm (BW 115) and 1,300 mm (BW 131) wide drum is suitable for city roads repair, overlay and new construction.
60 Hz high frequency vibration system allows quick compaction, espcially on thin layers.
High ground clearance and narrow overhang of the drum support leg allows close up compaction to road curbs.

Light Tandem and Combination Roller
When compacting close to a curb or the edge of a road, dual travel levers combined with up-to-the-side wide bench operator's seat allows operator obtain desired view to the drum edge and at the sametime still can opeartor the machine at ease.
In addition to shifting the travel lever back to neutral, the machine can also be brought to stop by stepping on the foot brake locates right under the control console.
* The foot brake is mechanically linked to travel levers.
Operator's Platform
Clearly and logically arranged switches and buttons are comfortable to operate.
All the switches and buttons are of well proven conventional technology, which is reliable. In case of failure, they can be quickly repaired or replaced at low cost. It helps to reduce the customer's long term cost of ownership even on a small component.
Round centralized indicators / warning lights cluster locates in the middle of the dashboard providing informaiton like fuel level, working hours and warning when the machine components are in critical condition.
Controls for lights and parking brake are arranged on the left section of the console.
Emergency stop button, water & bitumen emulsion spray system as well as automatic/manual vibration selector are arranged on the right.
An analogue engine RPM gauge and an coolant temperature gauge are also installed in order to fulfil Japan regulation requirements.

Efficient and reliable water sprinkler system is critical on tandem rollers when compacting asphalt mix.
On BOMAG rollers, all the components are selected to ensure long-term fail-safe operation:- 3-stages water filtration system- Rust-free copper water spray bar- Reliable diaphragm water pump- Quick-cleaning water nozzles
On combination rollers, a second emulsion spray bar is installed above rear tires in addtion to standard water sprinkler system.
The spray of emulsion is activited on demand manually by a switch on the control panel.
Filling the emulsion is easy with open of a flap on the operator's platform floor.

Standard Features

Safe operation with clear view to the back with additional two rear view mirrors, and to the front drum with drum view mirror.
The rollers are fitted with working lights in the front and at the rear as standard.
The machines are also offered with turn indicators and stop lights to fulfil road traffic regulations.
The angle of working lights can be adjusted to obtain optimum illumination in the front and rear of the machine.

Ease of regular maintenance and servcing influence long-term reliability and life time of the machines, especially to those critical components.
On BOMAG machines, the concept of ease of maintenance and service has the full attention and well thought without compromises. The purpose is clear, to offer long term customer value and good re-sell value.
Large opening of engine hood provide perferable space for those works from filling of diesel tank to regular maintenance and service within engine compartment.
For convenience of oil change (engine and hydrualic oil), additional drain tubes in sharp color are installed to direct them to optimum location outside the machine frame, thus prevent oil contanmination within the engine compartment.
Regular Maintenance& Servicing

Engine radiator and hydraulic oil cooler can be easily cleaned
Cleaness of radiator/cooler fins influences the cooling efficiency of drive system, and also consequently fuel consumption, wear and tear of the engine and hydulic pumps and motors.
On BOMAG machines, cleaning engine radiator and hydraulic oil cooler is an easy job. The radiator / cooler are fully exposed for thorough cleaning when open the engine hood.

Check and repair of the critical components like hydraulic pumps and the hydraulic hoses around them can be easily carried out from side of the machine by opening of a large-sized side service flap.
The regular cleaning of spring loaded front and rear scrapers is also easy and fast.
The arrangment of filters and elements are ideal, can be reached easily. Sufficient service clearance is provided for easy and fast replacement.
