BNCHS Fourth Year Students Take Part on Environmental Development Pursuant to the DepED Order No. 33, series of 2008 mandating all public and private schools throughout the country to annually embark on massive, intensive and sustained tree-planting, tree-growing and tree-caring activities in their respective schools and communities throughout the school year, the Fourth Year students of Bayugan National Comprehensive High School conducted a tree-planting activity last February 1, 2013 at BNCHS Fili Annex, Fili, Bayugan City. Despite the intense and burning heat from the sun, the students of BNCHS even walked to reach their destination, to the BNCHS Fili Annex. With Mr. Oscar Calinawagan, together with the male advisers of fourth year level, leading, the tree planting activity happened in harmony. There were five students per classroom chosen who took part in the event, carried with them are bolos, tree guards and five fruit trees’ seedlings like durian and cacao. The Citizen Army Training (C.A.T.) Officers and Supreme Student Government (SSG) Officers responsibly took part as well by leading, guiding, monitoring and helping the students by making sure that they could perform their duties well. The students were brought together in unity regardless of the differences of sections when they tried to restore what can be saved from the damages brought about by the strong winds and rain that have struck the place. Teamwork was indeed useful to achieve purposes. Although numerous trees died, which have been planted there time ago, there were still some that have survived. All in all, there were approximately 50 new trees planted in the BNCHS Annex and the students made assurance that it could live by securing it with tree guards. “I am happy that I was able to help our Mother Nature by planting trees. It’s an overwhelming fact that somehow I am part of Her development. Though this is not such a big help, however in a step by step with the help of others, we can imply changes and respond to the thre ats of climate change and global warming”, said Toni Chua of IV - Einstein. The BNCHS Students believe that this is not just their civic duty to the school and country but to the whole world. Having high hopes, they believe that the trees that they have planted will be of great help in the near future.

BNCHS Fourth Year Students Take Part onEnvironmental Development

Pursuant to the DepED Order No. 33, series of 2008 mandating all public andprivate schools throughout the country to annually embark on massive, intensive and

sustained tree-planting, tree-growing and tree-caring activities in their respective

schools and communities throughout the school year, the Fourth Year students of

Bayugan National Comprehensive High School conducted a tree-planting activity last

February 1, 2013 at BNCHS Fili Annex, Fili, Bayugan City.

Despite the intense and burning heat from the sun, the students of BNCHS even

walked to reach their destination, to the BNCHS Fili Annex. With Mr. Oscar

Calinawagan, together with the male advisers of fourth year level, leading, the tree

planting activity happened in harmony. There were five students per classroom chosen

who took part in the event, carried with them are bolos, tree guards and five fruit trees’

seedlings like durian and cacao.

The Citizen Army Training (C.A.T.) Officers and Supreme Student Government

(SSG) Officers responsibly took part as well by leading, guiding, monitoring and helping

the students by making sure that they could perform their duties well. The students were

brought together in unity regardless of the differences of sections when they tried to

restore what can be saved from the damages brought about by the strong winds and

rain that have struck the place. Teamwork was indeed useful to achieve purposes.Although numerous trees died, which have been planted there time ago, there were still

some that have survived.

All in all, there were approximately 50 new trees planted in the BNCHS Annex

and the students made assurance that it could live by securing it with tree guards.

“I am happy that I was able to help our Mother Nature by planting trees. It’s an

overwhelming fact that somehow I am part of Her development. Though this is not such

a big help, however in a step by step with the help of others, we can imply changes and

respond to the threats of climate change and global warming”, said Toni Chua of IV -Einstein.

The BNCHS Students believe that this is not just their civic duty to the school and

country but to the whole world. Having high hopes, they believe that the trees that they

have planted will be of great help in the near future.

Picture Picture! Who says that tree planting is a boring thing to do? No,

indeed. Especially when you have your friends with you.

Let us plant trees for a better future.
