SolutionIngenico worked closely with Blue Inc to develop a payment solution perfectly suited to its online setup. The system had to be built within a tight three-month timeframe to fit with the retailer’s expansion plans.

Ingenico implemented the technology well within the strict deadline set by Blue Inc. Moreover, the company and Blue Inc’s eCommerce partner, Visualsoft, who developed the retailer’s online platform, were able to set up the payment solution for the Blue Inc French and German domains in as little as four weeks. This helped to significantly reduce the lead time for the retailer’s international expansion.

Challenges

Building on its success on the high street, Blue Inc wanted to develop its online presence and drive digital sales not just in the UK, but in Europe too, using social media and other tools to increase its engagement with its digital native youth audience.

To support its continued expansion online, Blue Inc needed a payment partner that could meets its specific technology requirements and provide a highly localised online checkout, putting customers at ease across the continent, no matter their preferred payment method.

With Ingenico Group’s PoS terminals already providing an excellent service in store, Blue Inc turned to Ingenico’s eCommerce capability. ResultsFollowing the launch of the new Ingenico system on the website, Blue Inc has noticed a significant improvement in authorisation success rates for transactions. This has, in turn, considerably reduced the number of chargebacks Blue Inc has experienced, saving the company money and helping to protect consumers from fraud.

Blue Inc’s platform developer, Visualsoft, was highly impressed with the integration, speed to market and channel support provided by Ingenico.
