What are inferential questions? We will not find the answers to inferential questions directly in the text.We need to become detectives and use clues to try and find the answer. We can also use our background knowledge to help us answer the question.Often inferential questions contain the word “you”.

I can identify what countries my food comes from. I can research one item of food in more detail. I can feedback my findings.

The food we eat is produced in many different countries throughout the world. I currently have strawberries that were grown in Dundee, Scotland, while my watermelon was grown in Spain.Your challenge is to find create a list of foods and the countries it was grown/made/ came from. Fruit usually always displays the country it came from, but can you find any other items that give you this information. Where is your milk from?Pick one item you have found and do some research on it. When is it in season, does it grow anywhere else in the world, what animal produces it? How does it make its way to Scotland?
