The Blind MileNO, you do not run with
your eyes closed
Goal- To complete 4 laps (1 mile) around the track.
• Objective- To see how close you can come to the time that you think you can run the mile.
Directions
• All students will be given a card with a number on in it. The number will be written in my grade book next to your name. Your are not allowed to wear a watch for this activity.
What do I do with this card?
• On the card you are going write down how long you think it will take you to complete a mile(4 laps). You will write your time on the card and then keep the card. You will have 20 minutes to complete the assignment.
Will you tell me my split??
• Each lap you complete I will tell you your time (split). The goal is to come as close to the time that you have written on their index card.
What is the idea behind this?
